In all honesty, I must admit that it does baffle me that someone could be unhappy or "on the fence" with Batman's suit, or any of the Trinity's looks, for that matter.

I will admit that the EW cover shot and the leaked full body promo shot from the IMAX poster (which look like they're from the same shoot) are a little awkward do to the lighting and positions, but everything else we've seen of it, including the trailer and set videos, looks incredible.

Yeah, I also think they're holding back a lot of the goodies in terms of photos, which is absolutely the right thing to do.

Beyond the teaser footage, every still that has been released is what I'd consider to be "teaser photos". Costume shots, promo images of the heroes standing upright, images from the film of the heroes standing upright in various places, staring each other down, etc. Thus far, we haven't seen what can be described as "action shots" or the heroes in intense situations/fights and taking on different poses.

Since the marketing swing for this movie hasn't even truly begun and they've been able to hold so much back (even in the initial teaser trailer), it means there will be a LOT of awesome footage and still photography to come in the coming months.

I would disagree with you on this one, especially since some of the pics haven't been very flattering. People tend to remember the first few pics as that is the first thing people talk about. Time will tell I suppose.

I like the fresh approach to the suit, and how it looks in the movie will make it or break it for me. In one comment I read in another board, someone referred to it as "what a pro-wrestler who wore a Batsuit might look like." In some pics, I can see where that person is coming from.

What is there to disagree about? Everything I said was true. We've only seen a handful of photos from the film thus far, and the film is still 9 months away. We all know we're going to see a barrage of pictures and footage from the film as its release draws closer, and of course, there's little doubt that they will prove to be more "juicy", revealing, and taken from the actual film itself.

What pics would you say have been unflattering? Pictures of Batman? The only ones I've seen people mildly complain about have been the few costume "promo" images that seem to be awkwardly photoshopped and set against a stark white background under bright lighting. Those kinds of pictures would cause a great majority of superhero movie costumes to appear to be relatively unflattering, obviously.

Here, here. Even in the quick manip someone did adding a dark background to the cover photo, it looks significantly better.

If I found out right now that I was going to have a baby and become a father, I would be more excited for this movie 9 months down the road...

I'm an awful person.

Eh, babies get born and grow up, but there'll probably be only one live action movie of Superman and Batman meeting ;)

It's not like your baby is going to pull a kryptonite sucker punch on Superman's jaw, anyway.

A lot of the promo photos for the DK trilogy didn't do Bale's batsuit any favors either.

I'd skip the child's birth if it was occurring at the same time as the first BvS midnight showing.

:funny:

Although I think it was an ugly suit, it wasn't so terrible that I found it distracting or offensive.

Although Mr. Earle's rants about the DK suit were legendary, so in that sense the suit was worth it to a certain degree.

He made one manip that had me crying with laughter.

If the kid didn't understand why I missed the birth when they're older, then I raised them wrong anyway

The suit looks so bulky and inflexible in the promo shots, yet it looks a lot more sleek in the SS set-pics.

I really do think Snyder is going for a different visual angle perhaps than Ayers is when it comes to depicting Batman.

Snyder obviously is trying to invoke the DKR aesthetics.

Mr Earle has returned to us many times since, but I miss him each time that he is banned. His puzzle-suit hate was exemplary in its purity.

Or we see the suit in motion in the SS videos, and now all we are saying are terrible promo shots.
