I was just trying to explain why a larger mouth opening probably wouldn't make Affleck look less awkward to those who expressed dislike of the frontal face shots taken of him for the Empire magazine spread. That can't be helped for some of the reasons I mentioned before (as did Lujho), but it's nothing to be terribly concerned about: under ideal settings, he'll likely look much better on-screen.

The Empire cover is evidently screwed around with, as it makes the cowl look quite different from how it does in the set photos a few pages later.

And I mean, while I find a "chin fat" complaint stupid, I've seen even more stupid complaints more on female actresses/characters, so this is nothing.

Affleck doesn't have a perfectly square jaw, and no amount of changing the cowl is going to change that. Even when he was daredevil his chin and jaw were more round than perfectly square.

This is a condensed version of what Armsheldout was saying, IMO. I don't think he was trying to say that Affleck has a big, fat chin. He's saying what was said above, which is reasonable.

I think his chin looks fine and agree that no other cowl design would suit him any better than this one.
