Thank you! If the suit is an exact copy of the movie version, some people will be really happy. :woot:

You can actually see the scallops in some shots from the trailers, and they were visible on the suit in its comic-con display.

I like this idea. At least subconsciously it plays on establishing the whole 20 year history before we see him in Dawn of Justice. Great to have the Batfleck image imprinted in our collective consciousness before we actually see the movie. There will be a familiarity with this version that will only help to establish the new and hopefully definitive cinematic Batman. Great to think that he will be in Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, at least 2 Justice League films and at least one solo Batman film. Such a wonderful time to be a Batman fan.

Agreed.

It's pretty cool how Snyder (as expected) has gone into detail with the suit in such a way that really pleases fans.

Sure, Nolan explained the suit - but what Snyder is doing is giving us something that looks like Bruce has sat down and built this from his designs. Not just off ordered off L Fox's Ebay page of old military stock ;)

Credit has to go to Michael Wilkinson. :sly:

That is the most disagreeing element in the Nolan movies IMHO :woot: Batman does't know **** !!

Yes, the right word for those "cutouts" is indeed scallops
According to the New Oxford American Dictionary:
"2 (usu. scallops) each of a series of convex rounded projections forming an ornamental edging cut in material or worked in lace or knitting in imitation of the edge of a scallop shell."
So yes, we're sure.

If this suit isn't sexy I don't know what is:

Wow, that looks really cool. Hadn't seen that before.

:ilv: This is magnificent. He is just perfect. This looks to be similar to the scene in the Dark Knight Returns where Bruce Wayne makes his first comeback in the suit and goes around stopping any crook he can find and he goes after that group in a dilapidated building where he's almost playing hide and seek with them. I hope Batfleck also punches through some wood to grab one of these crooks too like a creepy demonic creature! :awesome:

Yes, please.

Yeah, I was thinking the same.

Thanks could not find a source anywhere.

Wow! Great shot of THE Batman! It's clear that he looks best from the side view, at least when it comes to still photos.

I wasn't expecting anything like this. X-Mas apparently came early again. :woot:

The shade of grey, the texture, the musculature...can't get over how perfectly they nailed it. I never want the Batsuit to change again. Maybe details like he ear length or facial expression or bat symbol, but the base suit here is simply perfection.

My only gripe is that Affleck has a wee bit too much facial fat, and it looks pretty bad from the wrong angles. The new magazine cover today is another example.

It's nitpicking though. This movie is going to be the best eye candy ever.

This could potentially be the best superhero costume ever put on screen, in my opinion.

I love how the bat-ears aren't positioned at the back of his head like Bale's was.

Snyder talks batsuit at 20:40:

Not much really, but thought to post it nevertheless.
