I have always loved the 39 cowl.

A modernization wouldn't look so bad:

The silhouette would be the most intimidating one seen on film yet.

Yeah, that dude does the best "first appearance" style cowl. I'd LOVE to see it on Affleck in some early flashbacks, with a sleeker physique and simpler version of the BvS costume.

The worst thing about this is how unimaginatively close to TDK(R) suit it is. The details are different but the basic aesthetic is almost identical.

BotB is just a regular message board frequented by guys that are into superhero costume design. I have a membership there (only because I was hoping to run into this guy again), as does Lujho. It was Lujho who first brought said descriptions to our attention here at SHH. As for our mysterious friend behind the posts, he just up and vanished. I only know that his user name is Kyodai.

No-one ever said that. The rumour was that the COWL only was reminiscent of the one on the Noel/Bermejo suit... and to a certain extent it is. It's much more like it than any previous live action cowl, at least.
