Dark, plated, ugly. Bale was actually his biggest in Rises but the way the suit was constructed didn't show his definition.

The TDK/R suit looks especially lousy on its own in the case with no cape, but I love it on Bale in most places.

I like both of Bale's suits.

I honestly don't think I've outright hated any of the live-action Batsuits, outside of the "ice" suit Clooney wore at the end of B&R. I appreciate them all in difference ways.

Dude ... just chill. Why are you always getting so heated up in those lenses discussions?

I'm chill, man :) And I love the way Batfleck looks, especially in motion. I'm a fan of what Snyder & co. are doing, and I'm not here to piss anyone off. I just wonder why, in 2015, we can't go full comic accurate. If a little movie like Deadpool can do it, why can't BvS?

I just would like the folks who dismiss the lenses as ridiculous or "weird" to fess up and say "Yes, I am ok with magical disappearing eye makeup."

Anyway, I'm still chill and not heated up; just answering your "why." :)

I'm not sure why it surprises you that I would be talking about this (my literally one caveat about the suit), one day after an official teaser comes out that explicitly shows magically disappearing eye makeup, on a thread dedicated to discussing what fans want from the Batsuit...

But disappearing eye makeup doesn't look ridiculous, in fact, it would be if it stayed on.

Yes, I am ok with magical disappearing eye makeup.

Exactly.

As for white lenses, I absolutely love those things, but this

makes me not miss them anymore.

Thank you :) If anyone sees me talking about this subject again, remind me that I vowed not to talk about it now that one of the most respectable posters on here has admitted that it's a matter of personal preference, and that what might be ridiculous to one person might be acceptable to another person. Both takes on Batman's eyes could be considered a bit ridiculous, depending upon one's... viewpoint :rimshot:

That should do it on the topic for me... finally. :)

This BvS suit and especially the cowl and free range of head movement is absolutely beautiful. Now I'm not knocking the Nolan costume. I see a lot of that in here. I love those movies and those batsuits. Yes even the puzzle batsuit, it fit in with those movies and I loved the Nolan cowl and neck movement for those films as well. But this is Amazing, I have my few complaints on the Affleck suit as well, but mostly happy! it looks great! one of the best we have gotten.

One thing I don't really understand is the White lenses I see some wanting. I know in the comics and cartoon his eyes are white, but I always just took that as it was suppose to show he was serious, kind of intimidating. Why do I say that? Well, in some of the cartoons and some comics not only did Batman have white eyes, so does The Flash, The Green Arrow, Hawkman, Green Lantern, really anyone who wore a mask.

I'm pro emotion through the actors eyes, but if they added a "easter egg" similar to TDK I'd be fine with that.

As far as the disappearing eye make up, it don't matter to me one bit. don't care if he has black eye makeup on or if it magically disappears. Don't care either way.

I'm okay with disappearing eye makeup and no lenses and IDGAF what anyone thinks about it.

Exactly.

Eh, I was always for the Riddick-esque look so this type of shot would've still worked.

It would work, but not as nicely in my opinion. These little things, like that eye shift there, can make the performance more interesting.

Me neither. I wouldn't see it removed, though. I actually think it'd look pretty cool to see Bruce wearing "war paint." Arrow definitely made it work.

Yup. Masked comic book characters have been depicted with white eyes since the mid-30's. It's just a trend that started and continues to this day. It wouldn't make much sense to bring it over into live-action.

It slimmed Bale WAAAY down. The chest area is just straight down. No definition

He looked like a beast in "Begins"

Enough about the white eyes. I'm tired of it. It's beyond old at this point. It's not the same as with Spider-Man. It's a stylistic choice they started back in the day because drawing pupils on a masked character would've looked f***ing stupid. They've kept with it in the comics, but that doesn't mean it needs to be used with actual human actors.

Plus this movie is giving us the white eyes in the mech suit. Everyone gets a little something.

Lol at letting your actor emote being the lazy way. And white eyes or not, the mask is obviously a mask. The man has stubble and a damn mole on his face.
