I'm glad that we finally get black and grey Batsuit. Before I thought they would never do it and I wasn't sure if it would even look good. Good that it does

^ I always knew the black and grey would look good. It creates a visual contrast to the suit and the cape :)

So going back to cowl discussion. I really like the way Black Panters helmet completely hides his human features. I'd really like to see Batman wear a cowl like that one day.

I suppose Affleck looked puffy in the photoshoots because they were done well after photography, during the time he started getting fat for taht current role he's filming right now.

Ironically, I think the Black Panther suit is a good, modern example of how an all black Batsuit can look amazing. But I'll always be team black/gray.

Just saw the new BP images from the EW magazine. Kinda jealous how all the Marvel characters get the most accurate masks/cowls while on our DC side, the go the lazy route (Green Lantern). While I do love the Batsuit, having seen the "cowl" of Black Panther kinda makes me a bit envious how badass that looks. Of course I know this will not go down very well on this board.

Nah, I prefer the Batsuit to it, but Black Panther's suit does look good.

Well, it will not, just because people are sick of "white eyes" argument and being one who often brings them up, I finally got the memo. :woot:

I'll just say that I do like Black Panther's cowl quite much.

I think Panther is overdesigned.

How is CGIing a mask "lazy"?

Apparently anything involving computer effects is lazy according to this thread. WB/DC should just start handwriting their credits.

Because it looked completely horrible and idiotic? I though that was one of the biggest visual complaints about Green Lantern. Did people flip flop again on these boards? I'd be hardly surprised. They could have easily done a physical mask and it would have looked 100% better.

I agree, that CGI was crap. If they weren't able to make it look good, then they shouldn't have gone for all-CGI suit approach.

I must admit though, the Black Panthers eyes look great in that EW pic with Cap and IM.

Looking bad and being lazy aren't synonymous ideas. The concept behind the cg suit was an interesting one. I can remember a lot of posters actually digging the idea back when we first heard about it. It just couldn't be executed well. But I've no doubt the effects team worked hard to make it look as good as it could.

Batman's outfit looks a lot better than BP imo. Actually BP kinda looks weird in a cheap way like Daredevil suit. Maybe it's because Marvel movies looks so clean and shiny.

Both Batman/Superman looks majestic on screen so far. Joker is the problem for me. I wonder how much directors has input about their looks.

No doubt but I'm only comparing masks here. Between Batman, Black Panther and used the Green Lantern example in my previous post. It was implied that was also in reference to the mask but I guess I should have made it clearer. My appologies then.

Probably a lot and I don't think that's a bad thing. Rather the directors than studio execs.

I doubt it was WB who told Nolan how his Joker should look.

Nolan's Joker looks glorious. His best designed character by a LONG SHOT.

Hot. Damn.

I think this may be Marvel's best costume ever, and they've been pretty great. I'd even put it, based on this image, on par with Batfleck's suit. I've always seen BP as Marvel's Batman, so I'm thrilled they both look so badass.

I could easily see the BP suit being modified into a Batsuit. It also looks slightly thinner and slimmer, which could be a nice change up for a leaner Batman in the future. Also hate to bring up the lenses but with Deadpool and now Black Panther...
