They'll put back the trunks. *snicker* :halo:

I wonder how the costume will change for Justice League. I'm 99.99% sure it will due to merchandise.
Contextually it would make sense to upgrade when you're going from street crime to worldwide threats.

Also his suit looks very "outdated" in the sense that's been worn out for a long time.

What do you think his JL costume will look like?

I think we could see a similar logo, and black and grey colorization, but maybe a more updated "cleaner" look to it. Or maybe even more of a functionality aspect to it like Arkham Knight? We will see soon enough!

I don't think they'd move so quickly to armor. Snyder and Wilkinson worked their butt off to ensure the comic book aesthetic was retained. To undo all of that after just one film would be a shame and a waste.

I expect something more streamlined and cleaner, but no big changes past that. As much as I'd like to see the return of the classic circular logo (or a rendition of it), Snyder's heart is too steeped within the Miller era to let that go. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

I don't see a change of logo happening (thankfully), it wouldn't make sense from marketing standpoint. Also, I retain that big ass bat logo also serves as additional layer of protection for the chest.

I agree about them not going for armor. Also, I don't see anything remotely functional in "Arkham Knight" suit.

Eh, I also feel like Batfleck has suit approval. I can see his smile from here when Snyder pitched him on DKR suit.

I remember reading somewhere that Affleck found the suit empowering.

Something I posted in another thread a week or so back about my thoughts/hopes for what changes they might make to the Batsuit:

I really don't think they will (or should) change the cape/cowl colors to navy or blue in this series. It would be a little to drastic and seemingly unnecessary, especially because the black on this Batman serves as a really nice contrast to the shades of blue that can be found on Superman and Wonder Woman.

The basis of this Batsuit is pretty much as close to perfection as they could have come. It's inevitable that there will be small tweaks in the future, but I feel that they will (and should) keep the core foundation of this suit.

I think the next logical steps for the suit, moving forward, would be to make small tweaks that serve to "refresh" this Batsuit and make him come off as a little more clean-cut and advanced -- which would seemingly be in line with the character development of this Batman through BvS and beyond. Slim down his overall body size ever so slightly, shrink the Batsymbol just a bit, remove the "scarring" on the symbol and belt, lighten up the bronze on the belt ever so slightly, make the bodysuit material look a little less worn down and repaired, and maybe modify the aesthetics of the belt and gauntlets.

But overall, as I said, they really should keep the general aesthetic of this Batman as he is now moving forward because they hit this one out of the park on the first shot.

It's funny, because usually we'd have a long list of things we really want them to "fix" in the various sequels that will follow, but in this case, there's not much (if anything) that NEEDS to be fixed.

This. We can look to the Supes costume as evidence. Minor changes that help to serve the overall arc of the character and narrative, but not a complete overhaul. Tired of the completely new costume a film thing anyway.

I don't mind variants though, like the armored Batsuit. Those serve a narrative purpose.

I agree with those who think we'd get a more streamlined suit if there were to be any changes. Slightly brighter colors, newer looking gear, and a clean-shaven face are probably what we're in for.

Agreed, minor alterations is the way to go to keep the look fresh while retaining the perfection. Like Cap.

This would be good enough for me. Maybe they could change the cowl's facial expression to be a little less demonic/scary?

That's very good comparison of what I expect when it comes to alterations. Such a small ones that it's very hard to tell the difference between two suits.

I am pretty sure that batsymbol and cowl would remain unchanged. At least, I wouldn't change them - batsymbol not just for marketing reasons, but because it's the sign Batman has been using in this universe for twenty years, it affects how the batsignal looks like, the shape of the batarants, etc. Wouldn't make sense to change it. And cowl because it is practically Batman's face. I could imagine some changes in the shape of mouth hole, but not beast's expression. It never happened with any previous Batman.

As for color changes, I don't see much room for work, maybe darken the suit a bit (I can't imagine grey going lighter than this) and bring more color to the belt. I'm curious to see navy blue cape and cowl, but I don't see that happening.

So, cleaner suit, different gloves, boots and belt, slightly different texture/pattern (though this would be pretty much unnoticeable, I didn't even notice Superman's MOS to BvS texture change till recently), different underarmor for pecs, abs and shoulders and bottom part of the cowl that connects with cape are pretty much the only tweaks I can see happen. Though, I wouldn't change even that, suit is pretty much perfect as it is. Perhaps I would prefer a tad darker grey and more angular opening of the cowl, but that's really a nitpick.

But buckle is connected with the piping on the real suit. :cwink:

Meh. I still like the MOS suit better. The DOJ suit is a good looking suit in its own right, but it's a great example of what happens when you mess with perfection.

This. The only thing that is really an improvement on the man of steel suit is the writing and the detail of the glyph. Wilkinson said in an interview that we likes to change the costumes from each movie....I guess this the only negative I have with Wilkinson..

I feel like the only real improvement is the colors.

The piping and gauntlets are way better on the BvS suit, I think. More subtle and ingrained in the suit itself, where as the MoS one looked like big chunks of plastic/rubber glued on top. I didn't actually have a huge problem with that, but the new way's much better.

I've always liked you, titan. You're never afraid to be wrong. :woot:
