Marvel changes their costumes because it sells toys. I'm assuming DC will do the same but I'm hoping the changes will not be as drastic as Marvel's changes. If the changes are like Superman's suit it will be fine, I can hardly tell what's changed.

Thats probably what it'll be like. Slight changes here and there.

I could see him having the same design and all that but maybe the suit won't have all the scratches and rips on it.

Suit alteration in the movies don't really prevent toy companies from coming up with crazy figure variants for the characters.

These were taken at the Brazil Comic-Con.

Ben's head in the movie looks a lot more round/squished than on those displays.

To be fair, the cowl looked just as wide on display at SDCC 2014.

The mannequin seen in the other image appears to be a bit off.

I don't understand the logic behind this sentiment that gets thrown around a lot about costume changes. Guys, they will make dozens of special versions of action figures anyway, no matter about the costume. There will be special battle versions, deep dive versions, outer space versions, etc etc etc. Stuff that's not in the movies or even really relevant at all.

Do you honestly think Marvel made these tiny, subtle changes to sell toys? You would barely be able to tell the difference...

Same for Superman..

Or Thor...

Same for the minuscule difference between all the other CBM character outfit changes. I repeat, the small changes they make on costumes are barely even appreciable on action figures.

This idea of Marvel/DC improving/adjusting costumes for the sake of selling toys needs to die. These changes are made because they're constantly trying to improve and/or keep things fresh, as they should be.

I stand corrected! That looks more like in the movie. It might be the angle too.

The Spider-Man suit in the Raimi series had multiple changes every film but they were all pretty minute to the point that as a viewer nobody could really tell.

I could never dream that I'd actually get to see Jim Lee's Batman on screen. This suit is a dream come true to me and the latest trailer just confirmed it.

The more I see of the suit the more that I want to see of it. I'm hoping that it isn't changed too drastically moving forward in Justice League and the Batman solo. It just looks gorgeous on film, and we still haven't even seen an action scene with Batman in it yet. I can't wait to see a fight scene with the suit :hmr:

I'm dying to see what Wilkinson can do with dark blue Batsuit and yellow oval symbol.

Agreed, but it's the Frank Miller suit, not Jim Lee.

It's not really either. It's a mix of various Batman incarnations, heavy on Miller and Lee, with a dash of the New 52 suit design. To me, it looks a lot like the early 2000's incarnation of Batman, when many of the mythology's designs were influenced by the animated series and YEAR ONE.

Marvel changes it's suits mostly I think due to directors.

Iron Man - Of course toys and all but Whedon didn't like triangular arc reactors or a gold Iron man so his avengers films semi undid it.

Thor - Again different directors. More evolution. There's a lot of experimentation.

Captain America - Oh this was purely directors. This latest suit I think is it unless something drastic happens.

Now on this film.

Superman - Clearly altered for film purposes. This goes simply beyond looking different. That suit was moreso built for the camera.

Batman ?

I could see them doing a new suit that is designed to be less worn down. This one looks like it's been through the ringer. They may want to give Batman and brand new suit now that's even more active.

Ears? Since Snyder will be behind JL I don't see him altering the ears. He gave the go ahead on those ears for a reason.

I'm kinda pissed we didn't get a good look at the regular suit in the new trailer.
