I agree he is called BatMAN for a reason part of the WTF of it is he is a man dressed as a bat. The white eyes looks great in animation and I know they are using it in Deadpool but his are movable, plus his face is completely covered like with BP and Batman Beyond costume.

And this is why I like Wilkinson so much.

They wanted a sort of metallic sheen for Superman's costume and they made it with layered fabrics, not CGI.

Honestly, with all the random detail on Black Panther's suit, I think it looks better the less you can see of the detail.

IMO the BP suit is even better than Batfleck's. Just barely though.

Superman and Batman will probably have more CGI done on them than BP due to the capes, so I'm not sure if that should be held against BP. It was probably more cost-effect/efficient to give a CGI sheen. I would judge the final product on screen.

The level of detailing on the BP is a positive...without it it would just be a black onesie.

I'll say I prefer Black Panther's built to Batman's. He's just too damn wide for my taste while BP has that sleek ninja built I prefer for Batman.

I know that's Snyder's artistic choice but look at how much better imo the suit looks on a slimmer model:

^On the exact same page as you. If the Batfleck suit looked exactly like it does in mannequin form, I'd put it above or equal to the BP suit. This statue is just simply perfect in every way...I can't get over how ideal it is. I wouldn't change a single thing about it. Not a single thing.

But the actual suit looks a bit more bloated and it kinda throws it off.

And candid looks make the bloated padding even more obvious.

And then the promo shots for EW and Empire highlight the awkwardness of the neck IMO.

This is all super-nitpicking because the suit is freaking awesome, but I felt compelled to explain why I like the BP suit better. Most in here will probably flay me for critiquing the suit, but whatever.

Eh...maybe if you're only looking at DC characters. Iron Man and Spidey have looked great for a lot longer than all the new kids whom we haven't even seen in a full movie yet.

I know compare the EW shot of BP to this:

Looks like Batman just came from the buffet and is still feeling it.

Aesthetically the actual suit looks great like in that model shot above but all that padding Snyder added to it just throws off the design.

I hope Batman can go on a cut for his solo film.

I too think that's due to the proportions. It's just too much. Looks so much better on that mannequin. In the most recent trailer it looked awkward/goofy in most shots, as much as it pains me to say it.

Absolutely adore the way the suit looks there; less human 'panzer tank' and more athletic.

Regarding Batfleck's promo shots, I think it's a result of less than ideal lighting and/or being photoshopped to hell and back. Even the BTS and set pics look great to me.

And in the latest teaser and trailer, it looks fantastic to me and not at all "bloated". I understood that complaint with the horrid Empire and EW magazine covers, but I just don't see it in any of the trailers or set photos.

The point was that 2 seconds should not be nearly enough time to make a judgement, as you seem to have done.

I have not made a final judgement. My first impression wasn't the best, but I'm more open minded than the average fanboy and I hope the promo shot is more representative of the final product.

That said, I don't find the design itself as captivating as Batfleck's costume. To me, it is the best cbm costume to date.

Anyway, it's all kind of trivial: these are two different characters in different films with different costumes for different purposes and, regardless, I will be there to see both films opening weekend.

No, my "problem" was that it's way too early to be passing judgement on a suit we have one promo pic and 2 seconds of footage of.

Alas, as usual, people prefer to talk about other people rather than the actual topic. It's really amusing to me how some make a post just to complain about what other posters are talking about.
