I really hope you are right, that would a kickass surprise. I geeked out during TDK when they popped out. I was so happy i didn't even notice how huge they were.

Really crappy what if. I shouldn't even post this as i did such a crappy job at it. The main problem is with the cowl's brow. There's no way to have lenses and look good with that huge brow. This cowl looks great except for that shot it had direct light from above (nightmare scene).

I come to "Ben Affleck" thread and I see people debating his weight, shape and comparing it to the one from "The Town". I come here and people are debating the white lenses vs no lenses look... did I travel back in time or something?

The white lenses discussions gonna be a weekly thing, even after BvS comes out.

but this is, and always has been a weak argument against them.

There's a reason I edited my post.

I'm not actually against the lenses. I just want them done well. And I'm not 100% sure that this cowl is conducive to good lenses. The TDK cowl certainly was not.

As is evident by the crappy photoshop I did above. It really doesn't work well with it at all. It's all in the brow area.

Those manips with the BP eyes look awesome, and they make me want to see the lenses in live action more than ever.

I think it would be add a new dimension to Batman on film. We've already had many Batmans without it, what's wrong if we get one with them? "V", Rorshach, and many others have already shown that there can be great performances without any facial expression at all. It's a wrinkle that I'm sure some actors would like to tackle.

Another great example would be Karl Urban as Dredd.

For crying out loud. Either people don't get Batman or he's been changed in the last few years. I keep seeing this stupid argument of how Batman needs to show emotions. Seriously?? A guy who is supposed to LOOK like a creature more than a man and is mostly working in shadows to frighten and intimidate criminals, he's supposed to show off emotion? When the heck did that suddenly get associated to Batman? As far as I'm concerned, he's supposed to do the exact opposite, and be this uncompromising object of fear.

So, you say "people don't get Batman", and then in the next sentence you say there's a stupid argument of how Batman needs to show emotions.

Batman is one of the most compassionate, emotionally complex characters in comics. He doesn't show emotion during the moments where he's trying to be intimidating, but he DOES show emotion. Often. A variety of them. Sometimes he tries to hide how he feels behind a mask of stoicism, but emotion still comes through.

My quick manip on the subject of the week. :P

I think shots like these are about the only times the white lenses look good. Any time you can see the majority of the face in detail they look weird, but for those spooky "bat in the shadows" type shots, they look cool. Not necessary IMO though. I'm happy with the suit as it is.

I think if they go the route you mentioned, it would work perfectly. Best of both worlds.

we finally got a fanboy of our own in the driver seat and he decided not use them, it sure as hell wasn't cause he was lazy or not brave enough to do so. I waited a loooooong time for the black n grey suit. Ya'll don't lose hope tho. lol
