this ''texture'' would look great on a bat suit.

I wouldn't have complained about that texture. That said, the actual BP suit as it appears in the trailer looks no where near as good the Batfleck suit. Not sure if that's related to the different textures, though.

The BP suit in the trailer is unfinished. Its getting a cgi sheen and detaling. So it'll look more like the ultra hi def pic of him they released.

Genuinely curious: is that confirmed or just assumption? Because it certainly looks a lot better in the promotional shot than the trailer.

Its confirmed. The directors gave commentary on how the BP shots will be edited in post. They wanted to give his vibranium weave costume a shine. Like how it looks in the promo shot.

I missed the promo shot of Black Panther. Where is it?

I know it's not the right place to talk about it, but I guess this whole Vibranium deal came out since Sony has the rights to X-men/Adamantium? Also I thought there was only a limited mount of this material on earth, Logan's sketeleton and Caps shield, now it's popping up left and right. May be I'm misinformed on the subject.

Related to Batman v Superman, if Superman's FoS can produce Kryptonian tech suits, he should have made one made for Bats as well: everything proof. :o

Both costumes look great. I do worry about the daylight scenes. Both costumes won't look as good during the day.

Vibranium has always been a prominent element in Marvel comics. It's an important part of the history of Panther's home country, Wakanda.

Adamantium is the material logans claws and bones are coated with, Vibranium is a resource only found in wakanda hence why its so closely tied to BP. And FOX owns Xmen/Adamantium not sony, so they have domain over the use of Adamantium. But vibranium is owned by marvel studios and has always played a role in both these movies and in the comics.
So yes vibranium can be used in place of Adamantium in the mcu, but its always played a significant role in the marvel universe regardless of whether marvel could use Adamantium or not.

The only instance where Marvel misses Adamantium is for Cap's shield. It's supposed to be an Adamantium+Vibranium alloy, making it superior to any metal on Earth. In the current MCU, Black Panther's suit/weapons will be equal to Cap's shield as they are both Vibranium.

And this is why I like Wilkinson so much.

They wanted a sort of metallic sheen for Superman's costume and they made it with layered fabrics, not CGI.

Honestly, with all the random detail on Black Panther's suit, I think it looks better the less you can see of the detail.

Funny but apt point. The visible eyes humanize Batman in live action.

Without them he looks either like an alien or some sort of android.
Which is kind of the point. He's suppose to look otherworldy to criminals.

Yes and no. Batman is not supposed to really look like a Bat. If he wanted to he'd cover up his mouth part like BP does.

Up close he wants criminals to know he is a man.

This is has been discussed ad-nauseam but in animation/art due to the flexibility of it white eyes work, in live action it doesn't the same way.

The exceptions are the BP/Batman Beyond type look where you have full face mask covering not partial.
