I think we've gotten plenty. What exactly do you mean?

The trailers have yet to reveal a close-up, full body shot of BatFleck in the regular costume; I think that's what Vision is trying to say.

Yes. Yes, it does.

That looks quite amazing; it's like a mix of Burton Batman with my favorite type of comic drawn Batman.

:ilv: AWESOME!!!

Ok, so maybe this has been addressed before, but threads move way too fast for me to go back and dig. But I was just wondering, are the fins on his wrist confirmed gold? I see it as gold in several figures for the movie. And I can't seem to make out the color in those stunt double leaks on the set of SS.

What legit full body shots have actually been released so far?

There's the Empire mag cover one and I guess the original teaser image but any else?

The rest have been more like profile shots from the chest up.

I want to see some shots like this:

^ Those pics of Bale as Batman sum up my problems with Ben as Batman, he looks like a dude dressed up in a Batman suit, whereas Bale looked Batman even in a mediocre Bat-suit, I suppose it's the eyes... Bale had the right attitude.

There's a reason Bale was actually a big fan choice to play Batman when the Batman reboot was first announced. There's no question he's an intense guy and his features show it even masked.

The big problem for Ben which I've heard a lot on social media, are people are having a hard time not seeing it as Ben Affleck who just happens to be dressed as Batman but actually seeing him as Batman.

I would say that's one of the important part of selling the whole Batman, I mean.. I don't care how much actor is bulked up or has a costume straight from Frank Miller's comics, if the intensity is not there, not saying that Ben Affleck would be bad as Bats, but for me Bale is still few notches higher.

Bale's Batman performance is greatly underrated and underappreciated because fans who keeps talking about voice and his body & suit after Begins.

He brought a lot of intensity, rage, charisma into the role. The way he looks, moves, delivering the lines etc. is overlooked and his voice always mentioned (which i am fine with it except couple of lines)

Minority of fans with hype of internet would make someone think Bale's Batman sucked.

Now, you don't have to be great actor to be best at playing certain characters. Best example is Clint Eastwood and his western movie characters. Affleck is not an elite actor like Bale but he isn't bad at all as some fans think he is. My problem with Affleck, even in his action movies he didn't seem to give a vibe to play such character. Also basicaly says he is Bruce Wayne under the suit and not act different. We'll see how it's gonna turn out.

I think Snyder is great for Batfleck because he is great with visuals and his movies doesn't depend on actor's performances as much as Nolan's. Besides these are not TDK series so i expect more action Batman and comic book poses.

Bale, Hardy & Fassbender are the top 3 of most talented and versatile (also having leading man look/charisma) actors in Hollywood.

Although Bale was a fan favorite at the time of his casting, he wasn't really what you would call a renowned actor circa 2004 - 2005. Outside of places like the Hype, people simply knew very little of his acting repertoire; and even without the baggage that often plagues more well-known celebrities, he wasn't without his detractors. There were complaints about everything from his muscularity (comparisons were actually made to Thomas Jane's Punisher) to his appearance in the first costume, a look commonly referred to as "Teh Puffy." [No, that's not a typo.]

Ben, on the other hand, has a very high profile. He's the type of actor who can't even pick up a few groceries w/o running into the stalkerazzi. As far as the social media critics and cynics who "can't see Ben as Batman" are concerned, I'm pretty sure you'd be seeing a markedly similar reaction from those camps had someone like Tom Cruise or Tom Hanks been cast in the role. Again, that's just the downside of having a large profile: it can sometimes overshadow your portrayal of a given character. Had those same guys on Twitter or Facebook been shown an image of Ben in the costume sans prior knowledge of him being under the cowl, more than half of them wouldn't have recognized him. He just disappears under it so well.

Totally disagree with this. That's just a popular complaint by those who never liked the idea of Affleck as Batman and have nothing real to complain about.

Completely disagree with the posters who say Affleck is not a convincing Batman.

These 2 pics, along with the above armor shot have me seeing Batman not Affleck. As much as I love Bale's performance, on just a purely aesthetic level, Affleck has Bale beat. But hey, I'm one of those few who was always on board with Affleck as Batman

Agreed; and again, I think part of the reason some can't see Ben as Batman has to do with the fact that he's a high-profile celebrity. You never really hear those kind of complaints when relatively unknown actors are cast in major action roles; they generally have something else to worry about: being typecast.

Yeah man. The best he has looked was in the sneek. That is Batman!

The fins' color is a subtle bronze.

Very subtle indeed. It looks to me like the bronze bits might have been painted black originally, but he paint has somewhat been worn down, (which firs with the battle worn look of the rest of th esuit)so you can sort of see the bronze a little when you look real close.
Definitely NOT gold though.

Indeed.
IMO, Ben is about the most Batman-like we've had so far in the movies, at least as far as looks go.
Whether or not he can act the part, we have yet to see, but I'm confident from what little I've seen so far that he can handle it, and handle it well.

Just a random thought...

Has anyone thought about the fact that for in order for Batman to suit up, he literally has to undress a mannequin every time? In the Nolanverse & this version, the Batsuit is always shown as if it's on a mannequin for display. Yes, obviously this is done for us the viewers, but in the film world, that has to take a little bit of time for Batman to do. We can assume he has Alfred redress the mannequin when he comes back to the cave, but I just find that funny.

IDK about you guys....

But this looks like Batman too me. And he doesn't have to try.

Yeah. Batman Returns handled this aspect the best, with each part of the batsuit (cowl, boots, gloves, belt) being lined up in their own corners of the room w/ many backups, and the main torso and bottoms (and their backsups) being stored on hangers like normal clothing.

Funnily enough, thats an idea that was recycled in the Ben Affleck Daredevil film.

Now, I think a lot about the realism of comic book movies. This though, takes the cake on over analyzing and I love it.
