Agreed on both accounts. When I say high tech, I don't mean another Nolan suit, I love that we get something closer to the comics now. Most of his tech should obviously be housed in his belt, and IMO the gauntlets. It'd be nice to see his gloves growing claws, as he holds onto the hull of a plane.

I don't think Batman having claws would be too practical really. I don't see why he couldn't have a pair of claws he could attach to his gloves (like shuko claws) if he ever needed, but not as a permanent part of his costume.

I've actually always been quite fond of Batman having little claws on his gloves, it serves a real purpose when he's jumping from rooftop to rooftop in case he needs to grip something, plus I like how badass it makes him look.

I've always hated when someone draws him with claws. Not a fan at all.

Nor I- it misses the point. They're hot on Catwoman, but make Batman look like a weird drag act.

If you make them retractable though, you wouldn't have that problem. And he wouldn't use them to fight. Only when he doesn't have a proper grip.

I liked Robin's hacker pad on his gauntlet in Young Justice. It would be pretty easy to replicate on the new Batman.

His Batman is not in my top 10 for sure!

I own and have read several Liefeld books back in the day (be it originals like Savage Dragon or his X-Men storylines) and I've always wondered how he was as popular as he was! Don't get me wrong, he is a better artist than many out there, but some of his stuff...I mean wow! For example, his famous Captain America...

I don't think the claws would be used for scratching people like Catwoman or Black Panther. Probably more for gripping and as I said before, give him a more ghoulish look if that's what he's going for.

Michael Turner used to draw Batman with claws and although they looked cool on his design I don't want them in the film. Claws are a little too far for Batman I think. He'll knock you out, but he won't slash and maim.

I must insist that you substantiate this rash claim. To whom is Liefeld a superior artist?

Children and amputees don't count.

I like the Lee influence but I still would like to see the longer ears back.

Agreed.
Gauntlet tech is a must IMO
I really like the way batman uses his gauntlets in the arkham games.
Like what he does at about the 2:46 mark in this video for example...
(Arkham origins spoilers ahead for anybody who wants to avoid them.)

:lmao::lmao:

I actually kind of like the idea of him having claws.
Simply because this movie is set in a more fantastic world than the Nolan movies and I want that to be shown even in batman's gadget arsenal.
I wouldn't want them to be something he uses regularly...just in situations like we're seeing in that gif.
I'm not talking shark repellent spray or anything, but I want him to seem like he has a readily available tool for most every situation.

Stuff that will make people say: "where does he get those wonderful toys?"

I suppose he could just use the fins on his gauntlets though.
