BvS The Batsuit Thread - Part 7

The trunks can be done for fan service while having a practical purpose in the film as a harness utility for holding his belt in place. I threw together a quick manip. While this is not a professional result, it illustrates the point. To me the new 52 trunkless costumes just look like long pijamas that need something to break the monotone color. Even the MOS trunkless design that so many are praising didn't work for me.

In the end, there is so much talk about an element which will be covered in shadows most of the time and we will only get a glimpse of it.

How I see the harness working. For example in BB he cut the harness off. I never understood why because when he uses the grapple gun, he then ties the cable around a latch on his belt then it pulls him up. Well if there are no belt loops would the belt just slide up his chest? The harness would anchor it down and probably be more comfortable.

By putting all the pressure on his nuts?

I don't remember Batman having stubble in Hush, but I agree, all the manips show Affleck looks great with the stubble.

Would it be too weird for a stubbly Batman and clean shaven Bruce?

In a few panels when he's researching Tommy Elliots death in the Batcave and Nightwing drops in he has a faint stubble. I think it looks good. But yeah, wouldn't work when he's clean shaven as Bruce.

Well, he'll definitely SOUND like an actual bat after his first grapple.

:woot:

clean shaven Bruce during the day, by the time he puts on the suit at night he's got stubble... easy, and makes both persona different. Happens to me every day, have to shave again by the next morning.

Something not talked about much is the cape, how long should it be, should it wrap around Affleck. Also, do you guys think it should have the ability to glide like the Nolan films.

Full-enveloping cape for the win.

A long dramatic cape. I need some shadowy cape scenes. I think even CGI at times to aid in those said scenes.

Glide sometimes, but use more grapple gun.

Full-enveloping cape. It is the epitome of badass Batman shots.

Yep. Cape porn ftw.
I'm sure they will go with cgi for most parts like supes.

I want a Norm Breyfogle-esque cape... that thing needs to feel alive.

Ooooh ! That last picture is Christmas !!!! Awesome artwork !

With a CGI cape such effects are piece of cake but i do want to see a real cape also, not just a cgi one.

I hope the suit looks like this..
Can someone add white lenses (textile type) and get shorter the ears please?

Never actually been a huge fan of the grapple gun.

Goddamn the blue/grey suit is sexy.

How often does Batman actually swing from building to building, anyway? I know he does it fairly often, but I was always under the impression that he usually relied on the Batmobile to get around.

Snyder DID use CGI on Superman's cape to give it more flow like the comics, maybe that's what he's gonna do for Bats.

I just always preferred Batman to use parkour skill and grappling hooks etc.

More parkour style movement would be great too! We can have it all, folks! The question is would we be open to a CGIed Batman at certain moments when his agility just couldn't be shown by a real stunt man? I mean, they can do crazy stuff these days and I think it could be made to look seamless.

I'm just seeing all all these possible action scenes playing out in my head... I know he's not as super-agile as Spider-Man, but a slightly dialed back version would be great, right? With this new, more fantastic universe that Snyder has created, Batman has so much more possibility I think.

I used the same texture from Spider-Man's lenses, but they look a little weird:

Awesome!!! could you do it without the dot points of the lenses as only white but with the same texture?

I'm sure this has already been posted in the past, but I just love this image - dark, powerful, ready to take someone out! I want shots like this in the film for sure.
