Thanks for understanding that. It wouldn't be their permanent costumes throughout but if they plan on going to Apokolips to face Darkseid (I'm just speculating and musing about future films not BvS) then I would want them to upgrade their tools and suits for the occasion. That's all I was getting at.

In typical form people have managed to distort and read things as they like.

People never get what others are saying, even when it's plain as day written in front of them. Everyone loves to overreact and shoot things down. Seems like a natural reflex around here.

...says a guy joining the chorus of other guys hoping that WW is treated with respect and not forced to act as a token sex symbol. I think we all want a WW who is as genuine a threat to Supes as Bats, etc. Hypothetically, really only Wonder Woman knows whether she can hold her own against Batman and Superman while wearing a thong, rugged battle skirt, or pants.

If I had my pre-casting say, she could be buck ass naked and take down both Supes and Bats. I don't think that's the WW we will be getting, unless they give her hand-to-hand chops that make the boys look downright clumsy.

I can't say I wouldn't mind seeing the above suit in a film that called for it...... But I'd never want to see a movie in which that would be considered appropriate

Once we do get a killer take on the classic (we will, I'm sure), I would like to see mission-specific variants so long as they are functional and not just action figure bait ie. Batman and Robin.

Do you read the B/S comics currently illustrated by Jae Lee? There is an absolutely killer version of the suit in that that vaguely resembles the figure above in vibe, and it is just gorgeous. Closest thing I've seen to a genuine Dark Knight (ie. Cecil or Golbez from FFIV, if anyone is dorky enough to catch the reference)

Second, as to the bolded part, I haven't read ANY comics for years now, So, Although, I have heard of Jae Lee, I'm not familiar with his work. Got any pics?

He did do the Dark Tower art. Pretty sick stuff IMHO. Agreed re: his faces being weird - they are all sort of the same faces, and all out of a nightmare. The above Jae Lee suit rules, there is another one of the alternate Bats which is really gothic and futuristic all at once in a sublimely uncluttered way.

He's worn alien armor on Apokolips before, you guys can relax.

I know he didnt mean it to be his normal costume, but I am against any kind of "special suit" for different uses.

I was here lying in bed thinking that if they ever get to Darkseid and Apokolips and whatnot that seeing Superman and Batman in this type of armored regalia would be so damn awesome. I dream that one day we'll see this on film.

The scope and characters both Marvel and DC are using gives me hope that they're full on embracing their more cosmic elements. It brings me great joy seeing the more fantastical side of things getting embraced.

those designs look cool. can't help but imagine a gory-cyberpunk JL movie

EDIT: though I want the DCCU costumes to look more like the classical versions. so yeah, I don't want those designs in the movie.

I presume that's Dick, given the eskrima sticks.

The suit is alright for an alternate Batman, though too heavy looking for an acrobat like Dick. It would suck as a design for Bruce Wayne's Batman.
