BvS The Batsuit Thread - Part 8

Even Superman had justification with the whole ambassador/suit of his people thing.

Batman would just be wearing tights for no reason. At least make it armor so it serves a functional purpose.

I want a movie where Batman isn't in big bulky armor for once.

The problem is that people like Bathead have spent literally years patiently laying out cogent and reasonable arguments for why the trunks could be made to work- arguments that have over the years developed a notable degree of nuance and insight- but still, several times a week, some random blunders into the thread and proclaims-

"Dey can't do du underpants dere stoopid!!1"

And then a few more chime in with,

"Yer, yer, du patnies our ****@!!!"

And the Hype loses a few more of its remaining braincells.

Despite you saying this, I have yet to see any of such arguments. Like Guard said, there are well-put arguments for potential uses for something in that area, but never has there been an argument for why said peripheral must be two-toned. The need for black underpants over his pants simply has no basis as far as I've seen. And where do you draw the line? Do you just need black down near his crotch/midsection? Or does it need to be black underwear?

stretch pants and leotards.

Batman's comic suit isn't made of tights. It's made of fabric/kevlar.

I guess I could see them going with a skin tight and sleek daredevil/catwoman(tdkr) type of suit. But having it light grey with underpants over it would be too much imo. Maybe really dark grey and have it get even darker where the underpants would go then lighten gradually as it spreads to the legs.

Affleck has been putting in the work in the gym. It would be a shame if he couldn't show off his Bulge and Buns of Steel.

Imagine the fun (aka: pain) when Batman feels Superman's punch to the guts. And he's wearing less armor/tights.

It has to be armor-plated (like Arkham games).

So does anyone here want to see the Yellow Oval symbol make a comeback, or does every one prefer the symbol similar to the one used by Nolan and by the recent Arkham games?

Armor won't save him from Superman's punch. If Superman wants to punch him then Batman is dead.

I prefer the black bat.

No armor would protect Batman from a punch to the guts from Superman regardless of how thick it is (unless it's made of Kryptonite).

You obviously have not been paying attention.

Noting wrong with the oval, but my preference is for the black bat.

Ugh... do we really need to start the bullet-proof fabric discussion again?

What about the suit in this pic? The suit looks a little too close to black, but I feel that the suit HAS to be very dark for the yellow oval to work.

Indeed. I don't know why some people can't seem to grasp this concept. Superman can punch Zod once and have him go thru three or four buildings, but he would be balked By Kevlar plate armor? It makes no sense, and Batman's smart enough to know this, and would do his best to avoid any kind of physical contact at all. Heavy armor would be less than useless.

I love the oval. Seeing it again would be a welcome (but not necessary) change.

I would love to see the yellow oval, or an update of it, featured in this film.

id honestly like to see a gold/yellow outline on the symbol. fresh take and a bit of a middle ground btwn the oval and the straight black symbol

That would be an interesting movie. One punch and Batman is dead.

Imagine the uproar!
