The comic has a scientific explanation for it. It's connected to Doctor Manhattan's arrival just like many other non-real advancements in other technological areas in the world. He'd be too busy trying to come up with a scientific explanation for Rorschach's mask.

I hope one of the tweaks to the Superman suit is taking the chainmail texture off of the red parts of the suit (S, boots) and also the "belt" buckle.

I also like this one, it looks kind of like the CA costume. I'd want something little a more durable looking for a movie, though.

This definitely looks like what Kevin Smith was hinting at.

Would prefer if it was Tim Sale inspired![]()

But I think THIS is the most movie-ready cosplay out there. Someone should manip the trunks off it to see how it looks.

I think you just nailed the problem with the visual aesthetic about the Nolan trilogy. Batman Begins is really the only film of the three that embraces the iconography of the Batman silhouette and its associated images. Batman standing on a ledge, Batman grappling through the air, Bruce opening up that cabinet and revealing the suit...all the type of images that would appear in a comicbook.I fully expect Snyder to kick the crap out of Nolan when it comes to the visuals of Batman. With the exception of that one rooftop shot in BEGINS after he first takes down Falcone, I was pretty underwhelmed with Nolan's "iconic" shots of Batman. They seemed to always be more about the city around him, and "Look, we went into a helicopter for this one!".
I seriously can't wait to see these. Hope we get some pics in January.
The "patterned" suit was one option tested by the FAS; monotone gray was another and the monotone gray tested well... as did black, i.e., gray suit, black cape etc., et viola, the traditional batsuit realistically explained and supported with perfectly legitimate scientific proof, so it's kinda of a valid point.Batman also doesn't wear a "patterned" suit, so it's kind of a moot point. He's never worn anything really resembling "camoflague". Well, at least in the modern age, outside Kenner's action figure lines.

Maybe even getting a peek at the new Batmobile and/or any other vehicles would be awesome too.
I honestly can't wait to see Snyder's take on everything Batman: the car, the cave, the gadgets, the costumes, and on and on.
t:I dig this. I think the fabrics obviously need a slight updating. Not a big fan of the sculpted cowl though. It seems to clash with the rest of the suit IMO. Would love to see this played around with in photoshop.
