Leslye Hedland has said that she is not writing this show for what she calls a "toxic fanbase"... I 100% passionately disagree with her about that. Yes, there are people in the fan base that are toxic It's like that in every franchise), But to call the entire fan base "toxic" simply because they don't like your vision of Star Wars, that's just downright stupidity, and asking for trouble.

And
again
I'm not saying that's what's going to happen to the DCU... I am just voicing my concern, and since we're seeing a beloved science fiction franchise burn to the ground because of someone wanting to insert their own personal bias in agenda into it, Making it into something that it's not, I don't want that to happen to the Superman franchise.
If you think "toxic fanbase" means "anyone who likes Star Wars" and not "the reactionary grifter sphere that throws a fit if they see someone who isn't a white dude," then I seriously question your reading comprehension.

Ok. Here’s the funny thing about me:

I love the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
Andrew Garfield is my favorite Spider-Man and ASM is my favorite Spider-Man movie.
I don’t like Matt Reeve’s The Batman.
I love the live action Little Mermaid. I love the live action Mulan.

Literally no one agrees with me on most of my preferences. And I’m ok with that because I’m a grown up. I am not looking for pity because I didn’t get ASM 3, and I don’t fault Tom Holland in the least. I supported those films.
Wow...that is a a crazy confession!

Of course as a kid I loved Superman IV so who am I to talk ;)

That's perfectly fine, i'm not saying no one Is allowed to love or not love this Disney sequel trilogy... I loved the spawn movie in 1997, in that film was critically panned in its script and in its visual effects

Just, with this, if you make something controversial there's going to be challenges ahead... Now when it concerns Superman, in this particular movie, me, personally, I am not behind gun, not because he did Marvel movies, or because I don't like David Corneswet, that has nothing to do with it... I am not fully behind James Gunn because of the situations that surrounded the transition of power from Walter Hamada to James Gunn. I also don't like how one man has complete creative control over an entire Comic book empire... that's just incredibly risky, and financially dangerous

She didn't call the entire fanbase toxic. There is A toxic fanbase within the Star Wars sphere. She's not writing for them.

I say that as someone who thinks The Acolyte has been aggressively mediocre thus far. But unlike those YouTubers I'm not gonna get bent out of shape because someone made a Star Wars story I didn't like.

literally Dana Delany's Lois

And I don’t like to have a shared universe, but who cares? It doesn’t change the fact that this movie is happening and it looks good so far.

The only thing that killed WCW was a merger.

Go figure.
Its not the only thing, but it was the final thing. I know that is what a certain Podcast likes to say (and a book which I own) but there is more to it than that. WCW had no idea what to do with what they had...they were the dog that caught the car with the NWO but had no way out of it and nothing to replace it. They burned through Goldberg way too quickly and had no plan for how to end that either. Plus they had too many people with too much influence who had too much power and the ears of all the wrong people.

Honestly WCW is not unlike WB so it was fitting Time Warner owned them. It sucks because I legit quit WWF (I never watched it as WWE so it will never be that for me) the second I saw Sting beat Flair. Funny story, Flair was at my little league game because we played David and he was on a break from matches. That was when I learned how fake wrestling truly was because he showed up on WCW Saturday Night later that day with a broken neck ;)

Did I say that?
No I did not. Don't misinterpret what I said.
I said that Leslye thinks that the majority of the Star Wars fan base is toxic... I don't think that, she does... I also said that in any fan base, there are always going to be toxic people... but unlike her, I don't throw the baby out with the bathwater... I recognize that in today's Hollywood, as much as I hate it, one can lean a certain political way, and include their political opinion, and still make a good show.
The problem comes when you force it into people's faces and you start to mischaracterize the opposition into something that it's not

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't want a shared universe either... and I understand that the DCEU Is Out, and the DCU is in... and I have no problem with what I'm seeing for Superman so far... I enjoy it, as a matter of fact... but that still doesn't mean I don't have my reservations... And the problems that we saw when Walter Hamada was in charge of the WB, I don't want to see that happen again

I have yet to see that.

Fandoms are diseased and should always be ignored at all costs. Fans have almost never been right about anything ever - even when they’re right that their favourite franchise sucks what would make them happy is typically worse. You especially don’t need to appease one of the most unpleasant fandoms in history who gives you nothing of value.

It's crazy seeing some of the reactions online. We've been indicated with the Snyderverse for so long that people think the trunks look goofy on Corenswet.

The only thing I'm curious about is why didn't The Batman work for you?

Judge you a little about ASM being your favorite Spidey movie. But everything else is cool.

I have always been a fan of bringing the trunks back, and I think what James Gunn has done concerning this suit with the trunks, it works beautifully

They don’t know what’s good for them and they won’t survive the winter.

The Batman didn’t fit my personal tastes. It was a little too unrelentingly dark for me. Just a little more lightness would’ve gone a long way.
Plus there were just some aspects that I’d have liked to have seen differently. I prefer the Iceberg Lounge to be a gilded casino as opposed to a seedy nightclub. I like in the comics where it is the place to be seen as opposed to the place to disappear.

It’s just preferences and me being picky and opinionated.

WCW beating WWF's sphincter into the dirt for 83 weeks was a miracle giving the situation the organization was in at the time when Bischoff took over. WCW was always second rated citizens under the Turner umbrella and only existed because Tedd liked wrestling. The powers that be that ran Turner Broadcasting loathed wrestling, even when Nitro was the highest rated television show on any network. Bischoff was a pioneer of wrestling of what he was doing when he kicked off Nitro .Things that Vince was forced to do to survive before he got to the attitude era, stole the edginess of what WCW was doing, before WCW was forced to budget cut their own standards and practices. WCW was doomed since the beginning, but man what a time it was!

Speaking of Flair, he is so awesome! My family and I met him in 2008 while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. My dad is the type of dude that makes friends easily, and Ric took a liking to him where they took turns buying each other rounds. We are from Pittsburgh, and he called my dad "Mr.Pittsburgh". My dad asked him one day if the huge yacht behind him was his. Flair turned, smirked, and responded: "No Mr.Pittsburgh...mines bigger"!šŸ˜… it was the coolest moment ever!

Oh, and I am forever a little Stinger! OwwWWWww!šŸ¦‚
