Lemme guess the Flip?

That Lordtech logo is fine, if it wasn't for a company called Lordtech.

Invoking Superman's compatriots aka those he's had a known history and fellowship with, implying you can't tell a true Superman story without them, then trotting out these randos- Metamorpho, Guy Gardner, Mr. T, to prove that, is quite the outrageous spin. :funny:

(Pulling from Giffen, DeMatteis, Maguire, era and approach), like Gunn's shtick today works, and is great fun, the guys you bring in when you have given up on the original concept, are out of ideas for it, or anyone approaching it seriously, and you can only do somewhat meta, self referential parody of it.
Mostly using secondary offbeat quirky b team characters, to mock the classic.
Which from what I see here, is about where WB is with this franchise.

That this is really what DC/WB (and some fans) are hinging their hopes of the new DC Cinematic Universe on is hysterical.

If only we had self-parody Batman in this to knock him on his ass

Suit looks awful,

Metamorpho, Guy Gardner, Mr Terrific? So this movie is just a vehicle using Superman, so Gunn can introduce and develop his quirky "We Are Not The Justice League" tongue-in-cheek-League.?
I'm guessing the bright more classic Superman refrance, is likely only going to be used here cynically, as self-parody to clown him, and make him look irrelevant and out of touch with the others.

There is no denial what this is, that DC/WB (and some fans) are hinging their hopes of the launch of the new DC Cinematic Universe on this, is hysterical!:oldrazz:

If the idea is there are superheroes going around then maybe they have been commercialisd and use a genius for their suits. As others have said....and then Supes comes in and shows them a better way. Also GL has worn some dorky looking outfits, it's all about their powers that make them bigger than life.

That's the rumored plot, yes.

Wonder if we'll get to see some flashbacks with these other heroes in non-sponsored costumes. They have to be active to get recruited, and seeing Superman interact with them both before and after "sponsorship" could have some real emotional weight to it.

No that’s what I’m saying - in this movie, it’s just Supes. Hence the absence of Batman, Wondy, Aquaman, etc. That’s why the heroes we’re actually getting were chosen. I don’t think the League exists yet, but when it does get formed, it will be to deliberately be separated from these “sponsored” teams, with other heroes who were previously doing their own thing.
Sorry, I didn't mean in this film itself, but Gunn has made statements that the DCU films will all be present day and we can assume based on The Brave and the Bold being about Bruce and Damian that we are dealing with an experienced Batman. So presumably in the DCU at the time of this film we have Bruce and the Bat-Family operating independently and not in anyone's pocket. So Supes would not technically be the only independent hero at this time.

Dude. I will give you the advice I give my kids:

Cool people do not give themselves nicknames.

And cool people do not quote their own posts. Only trolls do that.

You made your decision of the suits off of illegal pictures. :whoops: :whoops:
It's not a question of them being from set pics. The Superman and Mr. Terrific suits look great in these set pics and in comparison to Gardner's and Hawkgirl's, there is a very clear distinction of quality, so your rebuttal here doesn't really hold water?

Regardless, I hope the corporate suit theory ends up being correct and both of them end up with more comic accurate suits by the end of the movie.
