My dude, you know Guy Gardner is essentially a sitcom character who is supposed to look like a d-bag right?

Oh of course, I know exactly the kind of character that Guy Gardner is supposed to portray... I don't have a problem with that... but the fact that there is so much white in the suit, when I first saw the suit, I thought it was someone from the white lantern corps, because the color white is the prominent color of that particular corps...
don't get me wrong though, I understand that in this movie we would not have seen the typical blue jeans and blackish blue jacket with a big G on his chest, I knew that wasn't going to happen...
I just wish there was more green in the actual suit

I just hope that everyone who had concerns about James Gunn in the beginning (understandably so) can finally rest easy, or at least grow a bit more optimistic about the movie we’re gonna get.

With everything we’ve seen so far, it really feels like the character and its core elements will be brought back to where they need to be.

Oh yes! I trust Jimmy to bring DC back to its former glory. Tbh the hype i feel reminds me of pre TDK days. So far love what he did with the characters and the thought process behind it. 2025 can't come soon enough.

If they're going to have Wonder Woman, Maxwell Lord will eventually be a villain. It's the literal character arc.

There is no denial what this is, that DC/WB (and some fans) are hinging their hopes of the launch of the new DC Cinematic Universe on this, is hysterical!

I really believe in Gunn’s plan. We may not know much about it yet, but I do agree with the sentiment that if you get Superman and the characters around his world right, there probably isn’t a better way to kick off a proper DC Universe in Live Action.

You get us to care about this guy the way we cared about Downey as Iron Man or Evans as Cap, I believe the possibilities are endless. Now they just gotta find a guy who Corenswet has chemistry with to play Bruce. You establish that friendship and who knows how great this thing could be.

Gunn is likely click-and-paste swapping Giffen,DeMatteis,Maguire, meta off-beat "not-the Justice League" with the character routines of: Cap Marvel (the naive (read as out of touch idiot) boyscout) for Superman, Mr T (the Smart gadget guy) for Batman, and Guy Gardner as his overbearing self.

I'm not fully convinced this is already the JLI, actually.


See the pattern they all have in their jackets? They all have the same one, and it matches extremely well with this:

I think it's the Terrifics as a precursor to the JLI. My theory remains he'll join them in the end but that'll come with a name and probably philosophy change.

By launching a separate Batman universe, or rather a Batman that doesn't transition to the greater DC, WB keeps failing the greater DCU.
Falling on the self-parody Gunn launch, will likely be a fun yet one note joke, that barely goes anywhere.
WB keeps failing this franchise, due to lack of vision.

BTW I happened to like Infinite Crisis and the Maxwell Lord part of it...but I don't think I want to see Evil Max on film. Good Lord when Pedro Pascal can't make it work I am not sure anyone can.
