The Dark Knight Rises The Dark Knight Rises: Leaked Script

Come on people! Killer Croc? Bat-plane? 256 page script? A random dude just decided to post that "the script got leaked"! Welcome to the world of internet, be a bit more mediacritical. Sure, it's fun, but people actually believe this?

1.He's not random.

2.If some believe it, it's their choice because they (like most if not all of us) are hungry for news. If they get disappointed when it is debunked, it will be their problem.

Logic would indicate he is full of it. The script has been under lock and key and Nolan's Batman films have the most secrecy surrounding them out of any flicks out there, but somebody on a forum got the script from his buddy at WB.

Yes, I'm not arguing with that. I'm giving a possible explanation as to why it hasn't leaked anywhere else.

We'll be the judge of when the thread closes, it could be in one second or 10 days.

Never implied otherwise.

I can't believe how many people are actually buying this. :whatever:

If he really did have a friend working at WB, he wouldn't just say "here, you can read it. Feel free to tell people about it". That's just ridiculous.

He's pretty random...

Not a slap in the face. I actually would enjoy Scarecrow dying by Strange, thus being the little b**ch of this franchise.

I wouldn't. :csad:

But the Ducard/rA's is nothing like the Scarewcrow working for Strange all along subplot. The 1st one is a twist within a movie, the latter a retcon that takes place 2 movies later.

And that changes what? How does that diminish or alter the quality of a very similar scenario? Why does it matter how much later it is?

He's not, in the sense that he has some history in here. There have been others who have signed up just to post their "leaked scripts". He's been here 5 years. Even though he's been scarcely posting he's not as random as others.

Did you like SM3's twist on Uncle Ben's murder? Cause we're talking the same kind of retconning here. Not as personal to Bruce, of course, but script-wise the same.

Random in the sense that he's never provided any kind of industry news before. Doesn't matter how long he's been here the way I'm looking at it.

Hes on the level guys,he just sent me the Script - heres the first page:

I'm avoiding this crap. Like others have said, TDK script never leaked. We already know that Nolan waits for his actors to read the script, so the script will hardly ever leave his hands, I'm sure he sat there while WB read the thing as well.

Even if it is true, I don't care to have everything spoiled, but I call BS.

Yeah, that's fair enough, and that's why I'm not believing him. But if he was simply an attention w**re, one would think he'd have pulled this stunt for X3, SM3, TDK etc.

I understand what you're saying, and you're not wrong. My opinion is that this is ******** right now, but I'll leave the thread open for now.

The reason I'm skeptical, besides the obvious "buddy of a forum poster" situation, is that the so-called script confirms everything fans have speculated about the movie. For example: Fans have suggested Killer Croc could be "Nolanized" by making him a psychopath with a skin condition. Guess what? Described exactly as thus. Hugo Strange and Black Mask both speculated as villains...they're both in it, according to this "leaked script."

Nolan has consistently defied fan expectations with this franchise, and yet we're to believe that nearly every character the fans have speculated and predicted will be in this film are ACTUALLY in it? It's like someone just combed the forums for a day or two and then wrote their own film summary.

Agreed and thanks on behalf of us, the bored ones.:woot:

So if SM1 had that twist on the murder later in the movie, that would make it somehow okay?

I don't get the logic you're applying here.

Yeah, I noticed this too. The only thing absent from the abundant fanservicing here is Catwoman.

Every fan wants to serviced by Catwoman.

It wouldn't be a good twist, but it would be within the context of one movie, which means the writer had thought of it during the whole process of writing the screenplay, thus not making it a retcon. And retcons belong to soap operas.

That's what happened with SM3. It was a retcon. It would've been just as bad as a twist, but at least it wouldn't have seems as a plot point that was generated from desperation to create some extra drama.

The thing with Scarecrow working for Strange 2 movies later would be a retcon, a clumsy one (most retcons are clumsy): "Hah, I had another boss, Batman! Suck on that!"

To be fair, Crane was pretty down on his luck by the start of TDK, so I can see why he might have fallen into the employ of Strange.

Yes, but SaintSinnerX said that he had been working for Strange since before the events of BB.

Ah. Yes, crap.

I suppose they might know each other through their work, though.

Crane was already working for Ra's al Ghul and taking orders from Falcone in Begins. To have yet another Batman villain pulling his strings during that time period would be a bit much. Maybe the Penguin should wet his beak in Scarecrow's pie as well.
