What do you guys want to see from Batman-News.com? I've tried to make it very reliable, posting news from what I feel are reliable websites/sources. A few weeks ago I posted the first news from one of my own sources. Do you guys want me to continue to post rumors I hear?

I've received news about Tom Hardy's role from another source. I'm not 100% confident like I was with my last source, however this person has been emailing me for quite some time now, and has nailed things in the past. For example, they said The Riddler wouldn't be in TDKR about 3 weeks before Nolan confirmed it, and also mentioned Weisz and Hathaway as possible female leads a full month before Deadline published their list.

Would posting a rumor that turns out to be false hurt Batman-News.com? Would it help it if it turns out to be true? The news is slow, and I love writing for the site. Just wanted to get your opinions before I decide if I'll publish this story later or not? Thanks!
Post the rumours, but make it absolutely obvious that that is what they are. Maybe include a "*" system for veracity, or give story x one pinch of salt, and story z three pinches of salt, etc.

Yup, post rumors, I think we all like the speculation and possible news, it's all part of the experience, just note it as such.

Thanks, looking forward to it...

Go ahead, DaCrissa. If the source is reliable, why not? But make it clear that it's a rumor...

Put Rumor in a large typeface because people on the internet are notorious for taking things out of context.

Bleau de Chanel is the ultimate for us guys.

...

And I'd say you post the rumors when you can, DCM.

Aqua Di GIO Armani cologne is still #1 for me.

The ladies also seem to love the Bleau De Chanel for guys though. LOL

I'll stick to my 'Sex Panther' by Odeon, thank you very much...:o
60% of the time, it works ALL the time.:oldrazz:

On a side note: I do find it funny that some of you who complained about going off topic a little while ago, have no problem talking about cologne, of all things.:hehe:

I'd post the rumor on this message board but not on your site until you get some more confirmation. Even if the rumor turns out bogus, if you just post it here, you're not going to lose any crediblity with us. I'd still trust you over Jett. It'll give us something to talk about at least.

You can't tease us like that. We need anything right now . For crying out loud we are talking about cologne.

Ill go out on a limb and say its Bane or Black Mask

If he's been accurate in the past, I say go for it. But like others said, make sure you put "Rumor" in the title.

What's the harm in posting a rumor as long as you say it is one first? If it's not, you win a scoop. If it is, then you preemptively saved yourself from any attacks.

I think you should post it, but you must point out the fact that it's a rumour and that you're posting it only because this particular source has been right before.

I must say, the phrase 'either s**t of get off the pot' does come to mind. :yay:

As long as it's made clear that it's a rumor, I don't see the harm in posting it. That's how AICN and all of the other big movie sites got their start.

All the posters and lerkers will look up and shout "post it!"... and I'll whisper "no."

If you wait too long, whatever it is, won't meet up to our hyped selves and imaginations and we'll be highly disappointed and wonder why you waited so long to post such a silly little rumor.
