I have no problem with it . If its like Prey Expect Catwoman . Better than Deacon Blackfie or Clayface

Hahaha! I was just about to post the same thing. I actually like the idea of Hugo Strange and don't think he's a horrible villian at all.

Again I'm publishing this rumor because this person has been almost spot on with the information they've sent me via email. The Riddler was one of the most rumored villains to appear in TDKR, imagine getting an email saying "I don't think The Riddler is going to be in it". I was like "ok...that's a bold statement" and then 3 weeks later Nolan confirms it. Same with the actresses they named that were up for a lead role. I didn't think anything of it, then the reliable Deadline includes them in their article a few weeks later. That's why I'm posting this Hardy/Strange rumor. I'm really sorry for the wait too! I was hoping to get a few more details before I published, but didn't hear back from them since this morning.

Thanks for the heads up Criss. Oh and...

Let's do the Time Warp again!

I second that sentiment. Of all the interesting Batman rogues....seriously, Hugo Strange? Zzzzzz

A thousand times, this. What an awful villain, by far one of batman's most boring rogues. There's a reason he's seldom seen in the comics.

Out of all the other ones that deserve screen time, choosing strange would be absolutely criminal.

Writers don't use him because they don't have the imagination to come up with good material for him? :oldrazz::woot:

He might be boring but this could be the perfect villain for this film and could make it a great story

Yes, or he's a generic mad scientist who doesn't lend himself well to good material.

I highly ****ing disagree. Going from Ra's Al Ghul to the Joker, to Hugo flipping Strange would be a disappointment of epic proportions.

If the writer is good he can make a character interesting. Take this movie for example. If Strange will in fact be the villian, the Nolan's could write a story for him that could surpass any of his stories in the comics, it's very possible.

Perhaps Strange serves the story better than any of these other villians out there. I can't believe people would call it a terrible choice without seeing how Nolan would use him or reinvent the character. I'm not big on the idea of using Black Mask, but I would give Nolan the benefit of the doubt that he could create something interesting.

And just for the record I hope Hardy is playing Strange. I feel like this is a character with vasts amount of potential. Hope this is true.

I have complete faith that Hugo Strange/Catwoman can work great. Reread Prey thats where its probably going to be influenced by

And if this film were to have Talia or Catwoman? Maybe Ra's again or Black Mask? Along with Hugo.

The only hurdles I could see for Strange is his name, which is a little too over-the-top for this movie, and his kind of absurd appearance... though that could easily be changed.

Your not going to top Joker as far the rouges gallary . May as well go with the villain who fits the story best , and if they use Prey as a source material , it will be fine

The support for this villain reminds me of how people were willing to bend over and accept a two-face with a tiny patch of melted skin on his cheek, or a joker with only a black trenchcoat and a cut smile.

There were fans out there that were ok with those **** ideas? At least Hugo isn't a made up villian and his appearance is hard to **** up.

And the flip side is the people whining remind me of those who whined about Heath Ledger and than the Jokers makeup without seeing the film
