How completely narcissistic. His board hardly even has any lurkers, just the same handful of self-gratifying regulars participating in their daily circle-jerk.

Like Jett's never posted any rumors on his site before.
Not only that, but he was SOOOO sure that TDKR would have nothing to do with NOLA, and then a few weeks later, he deletes those headlines, and makes some other crap up, like "YEEEHAWWW, looks like we need to pack our bags, cause TDKR is going to NOLA. See, I knew it all along, YEEEHAWWWWW".

Yeah, talk about "legitimate" news source.:whatever:

Lol, you can literally feel his tongue slipping between WB's and Nolan's butt cheeks.

Yeah, Jett could very well be jealous of Crissa, or bitter somehow, and yeah i remember how sure he seemed to be about Hulme.

But he also might be right about the source not being reliable. Who knows.

I know he's had jacks**t for news in the past 4 years, while Crissa's source has had 2/2. Even if the rumor's false, Crissa cleared out it's just that: a rumor.

I still think out of all the villains, Deacon Blackfire or Hugo Strange (forget popularity) make the most sense for continuing the story on. Both are psychologically complex characters that seem to fit into the landscape of Nolan's world.

Jett's reaction can be summed up with a single image.

That, and his site is MUCH cleaner, more streamlined...oh, and has only been up for a few months, and gaining attention.

Remember when Jett made some half assed prediction about how we'd definitely hear some solid news towards the end of the year, if not then definitely in the new year? Oh how I lol'd.

It's pretty awesome to see big film industry news sites like Slash.com and others credit Batman-News with this. I've seen the rumor all over the place today.

You know, seeing Jett's repeated posts slamming Batman-News reminds me a bit of that funny video where Kevin Smith talks about Tim Burton. How Burton made some kind of snarky comment about how indifferent he was to Kevin Smith, but then kept on going back and making increasingly angry declarations of his indifference. He said that Burton was devoting an awful lot of time and emotion to someone he didn't care about.

Crissa, like everyone else says, ignore Jett's rantings. Don't respond, don't stoop to his level. Just gladly accept all the free publicity he's sending your way.

Or when Jett posted "MEOW?" lol

After his Bettany/Hulme is Joker "report", I've deleted his site from bookmarks and placed it in spam.

Just to clarify, so that I'm not confused, Jett is suggesting that any website created exclusively for Batman films is a "fake BOF?" I must have missed the news that he has a monopoly on that market.

Again, as a journalist, you throw all credibility out the window the second you dedicate an actual news story to *****ing and moaning about competetive sites.

I recommend that you should be very, very leery in regards to any “scoop” or “inside information” coming from any website -- including BOF (and fake BOF’s too).
So, if you want Batman movie news from a website that has the respect of both Warner Bros. and those folks I mentioned above, you’ve found it. Call me arrogant all you want, but it’s the TRUTH. Now, if you want BS, well, you’ve got a lot of choices -- including fake BOF’s.

I actually don't think there is any dispute on that particular matter. :o

Doesn't anybody else find it odd that BOF and other websites were invited to a set visit for Batman Begins, but not The Dark Knight?

There is a reason Jett hasn't scooped jack **** since Batman Begins, and it's a quite simple one. Warner Brothers has no need for his services anymore.

After Batman & Robin, the risk with Batman Begins was huge. It was no accident that the script for that film was leaked. The leaked script was WB's way of putting feelers out to see what fans thought of the new film. Now enter Jett, the owner of a fansite dedicated exlusively to Batman film-related news. WB used him, throwing his site a bone every now and then, as a means of building awareness and support from the fanbase. They wanted the fans to think that their voices were being heard, and that they had a direct impact on the film. When Batman Begins was successful, both financially and critically, the job had been done. The franchise was re-established. No more need to keep BOF in the loop.

But the damage was done. The exposure and opportunities Jett received from covering BB has turned him into a bloated bag of egotism. Now, he finds himself constantly editing (and even deleting) his own articles to maintain deniability whenever a scoop of his falls through, or when he is proven wrong.

And why does he do that? Because he has to maintain the aura that he is always right, that he is always spot-on, and that he always knew what was going on with these films - when the truth of the matter is he doesn't have a goddamn clue.

I check batman-news.com, batman-on-film.com, and **************.com in that order, and Jett's reaction to Crissa's Hardy scoop made me LOL big time. Whether the rumour is true or not, this guy feels threatened, and I for one am glad we have batman-news as a "news only" instead of ********-post site.

Just for clarity though. Wally Pfister did discredit NOLA as a shooting location.

You probably already know this and maybe I am just misreading things, but it seems that I keep reading people crediting NOLA for shooting.

That's all highly likely. Once Batman Begins lead into the juggernaut that was TDK, BOF no longer would get the scoops.

But Jett did go to the TDK premiere and meet Nolan, so they (WB) did throw him a bone.
