I guess Jay regained his speed .
I still think they should have just said this is a continuation of season 6 and had season 7 start fresh. It won't make sense with the blu-ray sets either. So basically tune into episode 4 for the real premiere if you’re over this storyline, lol.
Considering the real speed force was killed off last season or the season before, I think this one is temporary. They referred to it as artificial so they still need to work on getting the real thing I think. Is Flash's speed back for good now or is his speed temporary.
This doesn't make any sense, however you look at it.
There were speedsters (Jay Garrick) before Barry Allen, and there are speedsters after Barry Allen too, so his life and death can't be tied to the speedforce too much. If it's directly connected to time, then his mere existence in a small portion of time would be all that was needed, and yet we know this isn't the case - seemingly.
Thawne is an odd one, as he has his vendetta against Barry, and he's had amply opportunities to kill him (both in comic, and in this series), yet doesn't. He likes to toy with Barry and make his life as miserable as he can, but I've yet to get the impression that Thawne actually wants to kill Barry. It's odd.
This still doesn't make sense though, because if the speed force exists outside time itself, then it always exists or it never does.the speed force is not bound by time therefore even though there were speedsters before barry and not in his timeline barry getting speed was a catalyst for the others having it....the speed force has no restraints on time so its like a loop effect, barry gets speed and therefore generates the speed force for all others granted with the ability.
This still doesn't make sense though, because if the speed force exists outside time itself, then it always exists or it never does.
The mere fact that Barry could access it, or was the catalyst for it is inconsequential. If the speed force exists outside of time, then speedsters of past and future should still have their speed, as should Wally and Barry.
I'm chilled. Believe me. I'm just pointing out the inconsistencies surrounding the speed force, and the speedsters that exist because of it.also chill out with saying it doesn't make sense, it's based from a friggen comic book, it's not reality....alot of shows on tv never make any sense but there still fun to watch.
On this, we agree, although I won't stop watching because of it.my point really is that if the writers keep the speed force as an AI version basically a glorified battery I'll stop watching it. Changing the speed force that drastically would be a garbage move on the writers part and would be a stupid thing to do, when there's 100's of ways they could come up with a story to bring back the original speed force.
It's up to you. If you weren't enjoying the show anymore, I can't say I'd recommend jumping back in, but I did think season 6 was an improvement over seasons 4 and 5. The premiere really wasn't that great since they still have to wrap up last seasons storyline before really getting into season 7 and if you didn't like Caitlin or Cisco, you might be in luck since they're giving more focus on other side characters like Allegra, Chester and Cecile.Should I keep watching?
Anyways last I watched Flash was all the episodes leading up to Crisis. I had stopped watching during the fifth season. The plot wasn't bad, but it wasn't that fresh in terms of story-telling. Yet another villain twist...the daughter Cicada being the actual villain. (Meh) That aside, I thought Nora Allen was super-naïve just for the sake of the plot. But everything leading up to this point, I feel like we've seen so much of Flash running on top of buildings and jumping of rooftops, which I did enjoy but now...well, is there anything new?
Generally I've never cared for Cisco or Caitlin. Caitlin is a dull character for me. Cisco started out as the most superficially geeky character ever written. Then in the later seasons, he started acting like a drama queen for the sake of drama, and I got annoyed by it. I genuinely liked Harrison Wells, and just SOME of his doppelgangers, but most of them were absurdly ridiculous to me, and I couldn't bare to watch those scenes involving the over-the-top Harrison Wells characters.
But nevertheless, I was getting excited about season 6 coming to Netflix in Japan--just because I would have something to watch, even if I somewhat lost interest in watching. That was until 'Superman & Lois' aired, which I'm a little more excited about. I'm not currently excited about The Flash at the moment.
I thought Bloodwork was somewhat interesting and slightly refreshing as a villain, but ultimately not a great villain. No one has topped Savitar at least for me. (Still, that being one of the problems in the series, that being using too many speedster villains)
My memory is hazy on season 6, as I haven't checked in watching after Crisis aired as I got busy, but if I recall, in season 6 at some point...(but why again??) Barry started slowly losing his speed...again? Isn't that the third time? For real? I don't know how many times we have to see Barry lose his powers again.
But if there's anything worth checking out for the rest of season 6 and currently (season 7)...let me know if you guys think.

The general rule is, they stop when enough people get bored, lol. They keep going 'til people stop watching.

The comics may be one thing, but they're constantly changing and the show (all shows) adapt and evolve around that.
The speed force, as you continuously state is time displaced. On that basis alone, speedsters simply shouldn't lose or gain speed. They should either have it, or shouldn't.
On this, we agree, although I won't stop watching because of it.
Poorer writing than a speed force readjustment has taken place I N this show already, and yet here we are, still watching it.
I think the writers are intelligent enough that they won't leave the speed force as an AI version, I'm sure we'll get the real deal at some point.
