The Flash The Flash season 3 episode 2 - "Paradox"

So the premier was a two parter. That's why episode 1 was a little wonky. Paradox is the resolution to Flashpoint.

Wish they would have aired them back-to-back.

I didn't hate Felicity in her 4 minute cameo.

I quite liked that appearance.

I wasn't bothered by the kiss. You aren't the only Iris fan Aziz.

As for everything else, it's been said. Very good episode. I did like the Flash and Vibe vs Rival fight. Barry went a little Injustice on his ass at the end there.

Enjoyed it, wasn't brilliant but there was some cool stuff in there.

Especially the return of Jay Garrick. It was certainly a lot better than Arrow's second episode or Legends premiere.

I didn't enjoy watching Team Flash moping around and disliking one another, but I'm glad Barry won't be engaging in any more time travel to fix things.

The new metahuman specialist, OTOH, is kinda awesome. I hope he sticks around.

I think that's going a *bit* far. He's certainly not going to be using time travel to try and change his own past tragedies anymore, sure. However, I wouldn't rule out future use of time travel in more "city gets nuked" circumstances. Less changing stuff years in the past, more "go back a day to avert absolute catastrophe".

So, has anyone got an idea who the arm belongs to? Alchemy, or is it someone else?

I'd put my money on Dr Alchemy. He's probably wearing full armor underneath the cloaks. If I had to guess, he's another composite character, mixing Dr Alchemy with Abrakadabra: his powers are derived from advanced technology, though probably not futuretech, given the Reverse Flash's niche. Could be from a parallel universe, could be from aliens.

Going back and changing time started a new time line at around 20 years ago. If things started changing that long ago.....there is no telling who he may or may not have met, slept with, married, had kids by......

I will be shocked if Lyla and Diggle aren't still married. Its probably just one of those ripple effects. Maybe there are two major future time branches, where Baby Diggle is either male or female and goes on to become something different and important in each. Its just, the baby is young enough that the future is still in flux, so kicking time and then kicking it back can cause Baby Diggle to drop into either with about equal probability.

That said, its unnerving, but as far as changes go, not really that huge a deal IMO. Not compared with most of the other changes, like whole other people existing in your life, or relatives of your friends being dead.

I think the bigger shock will be the introduction of freaking Kryptonians into his universe.

Which is only going to happen via dimensional travel, and thus has nothing to do with Flashpoint.

No Laurel's alive due to flash point. but That'll be shown in both legends and arrow.

Assuming facts not in evidence. Just because Laurel appears doesn't mean she's suddenly alive, due to Flashpoint or not. LoT appearances are probably via unrelated time travel, and Arrow is most likely flashbacks. We have zero, repeat, zero evidence that Laurel is suddenly not-dead.

Here's something that just came to me: okay, Arrow and Flash have never been clear about timelines, like Oliver helping Barry and Firestorm fight Reverse Flash while he was leading the League of Assassins, but did Barry run to Star City and expect to find someone in the Arrow cave, or would he have waited for Felicity or Oliver? Also, was Felicity just hanging out there? She didn't look to be all that busy when Barry arrived.

I think the intended answer is "don't think too closely about it". The timelines are vague precisely so there is no clear and definite conflict. Guest appearances happen when they would be convenient to fit in between shows, since time passes in each show at different rates ( due to different between-episode time skips ).

Just finished this episode... SIGH.

"OMG... Barry ruined our lives. We are so mad at him. " Is this gonna go any where? Nope. Things as always will go back to the way they were with little repucusdions. Wanna bet that they hardly touch on any of the differences again for the rest of the series?

Now... Seeing Jay again with Barry in live action is all kinds of cool and that was a good scene but the rest was a mess as I see it. I know it's an unpopular opinion but two episodes in and this season is already of lower quality than the previous season for me and that's saying something. At least season two started out promising.... Although it too started with team Flash fractured only to get back together in 45 minutes as well. So AGAIN, we see the writers repeating themselves.

But I agree about that kiss being unnecessary.

I disagree. I think that kiss was absolutely necessary.

They went out of their way to point out how the kiss from the end of the Season 2 finale was undone by Flashpoint. So ending the episode with the very same shot from the finale was a perfect way of putting Barry and Iris back on that same level as we'd previously reached.

I think Iris is great. She was only annoying before she was a part of the fold. I like that she's Barry's rock / common sense sounding board, generally.

Slightly better than 3x01. Still not the best. I wish the show would revert back to how it was in Season 1. Enjoyed the last bit with the Killer Frost tease.

Enjoyed both episodes so far, this season is certainly stronger than the last one so far. In my eyes anyway.
