A New Hope FTW!
That was like the worst one.

That, and Phantom Menace. If the Darth Maul scene wasn't in there, would've been even worse.
A New Hope FTW!
Dude, New Hope>Phantom Menace. Heck, New Hope>All of the prequels.
It introduces Han Solo.

Don't make me start quoting Star Wars, boy....
Go.
Leave.
Now.
Okay, this is a bit of an unexpected decision on my part, but I've decided that, after heavy consideration, I'm dropping out as a Chosen. I'm just not that confident in my character's value as a Chosen (abiet, I am quite proud of the layout of his world), and more importantly, I have other RPG's I need to really focus on, as of late.
Whoever wants my spot can have it, and eventually, I'll probably sign up as an MRC. I'll even continue to accept applications and update the roster, accordingly... I just can't play, right now. Sorry.![]()

Two years into the future from now, and the United States goverment has cracked down upon society and re-ivigorated it's laws, following a devastating terrorist attack that rocks the nation harder than ever. For those with wealth, it's an ideal society. For those without, the same cannot be said. New liberities are given to the selfish and spoiled, while the common man is generally ignored or mistreated. And taking the most advantage of this is Multi-Billionaire Alexander Luthor, who is currently running for the White House after a resignation of the former President, from his home of the landmark technologically based city of Metropolis. Now, more than ever, the world needs a new breed of hero.
Enter the metahuman outbreak.
While most humans are unaffected by this strange, virus like phenomina, certain people across the globe are bestowed with an unusual set of abilities. Jason Garrick, a young resident of Central City, is one of the first to succumb to the virus as it spreads through a poison leaked through water vapors. While he is not killed, he soon realizes that he has been given the bizarre ability of superhuman speed. Using his powers in a responsible and respectable manner, Garrick becomes The Flash. While in far east New Gotham City, a place devastated more than most by crime and corruption, a road engineer by the name of Alan Scott is exposed to the outbreak when the flames of a fire he's trapped within are tainted with green energy. Scott is given the unnatural ability of generating this flame, which he uses to form a battery and ring as a comic-book inspired superpowered hero called The Green Lantern. And even Clark Kent, a mild mannered college graduate who was cloned from explorers from a now dead planet, is enhanced to a superhuman level by the outbreak. Though his abilities already existed by alien DNA, some abilities are transformed into extraordinary levels. While Kent could once leap a tall building in a single bound, the outbreak permits him to literally defy gravity and turn him into a true Super Man. So he becomes, when deciding to selflessly use his powers for the good of his adopted homeworld.
With this strange phenomina of heroes, aswell as the urban myths of the vampiric Bat-Man that haunts New Gotham, and the Amazonian goddess of the ages from the island of eternal youth, not all affected by the outbreak choose to use their powers for justice. Some, such as the parasitic Rudy Jones, the mother-nature advocatic extremeist Pamela Isely, and the rapidly mutated monster known only as King Grodd, seek to cause those who would stand in their way severe harm. Even those unaffected by the outbreak, who wish to cause the new heroes trauma for their existence, run amok in this new society. Criminals such as Blackrock, The Cheetah, The Riddler, and Slade Wilson, The Terminator for Hire, constantly appear among the world's headlines as the most dangerous. It is the striving effort of the new heroes such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and others that prevent humanity's downfall in these times of national war and goverment corruption.
(This was in a PM, so I can't link back to it.)Master Bruce said:Scientists unable to have a child on their planet, Jor-El and Lara wanted to create one... a perfect son. But when General Druid Zod launched the planet into a globally scaled civil war, Jor-El was forced to abandon the project and try to forge an act of peace to Kandor, Krypton's capital nation.
Unfortunately, he failed, and many Kryptonians fled to the Phantom Zone in fear of a planetary wide genocidal assault by Zod's forces. (primary among them were an alien philosopher, Brainiac, and the Zor-El family.) Jor-El and Lara stayed, however, realizing that The Zone was inescapable, and thus, they'd be doomed. But there was one alternative to preserve the race, in wake of Zod's threats of nuclear iniallation: Their experiment.
Feeding it neural growth hormones and fine-tuning the structure to greater resemble the properties of an organic fetus, The El's left it to grow on it's own, as it was sent away in an infant sized craft during Zod's final attack. The planet of Krypton exploded, and the fetus finally turned into a baby, just under a few short years.
The craft found the Milky Way system, and crash landed to Earth, where a farming couple found him and quietly adopted, never revealing the true origin of their newborn son. Named Clark Kent, the boy grew under the solar radiation of Earth's yellow sun, and began displaying unusual abilities: He could leap great distances, hear from far away, burn through objects with his eyes, not to mention he was incredibly strong.
With the metahuman outbreak, however, Clark was one of the few affected. Already having an unusual DNA structure, being that he was an extraterrestrial, Clark's great distance leaping was heightened to pure flight, his body's aura of solar intake made him invulnerable to most harm, and his vision became capable of seeing through solid objects and magnifying others.
Clark moves to Metropolis - a very clean, but very retro city. Its Mayor is Alexander Luthor Jr., who's engaged to the Daily Planet's top reporter in Lois Lane. Clark, hired as an intern at the paper, quickly befriends James Olsen, a struggling writer always trying to sell his stories to Perry White, the Planet's senior editor.
After a few months of working in Metropolis, Clark is called back to Kansas when the Kent's discover that his child-sized craft has began glowing at night, and making strange noises. This is when they reveal to Clark his true origin, and it all begins to make sense. Encryptions on the side of the ship, while alien in origin, are readable to Clark automatically, and he learns that Jor-El and Lara had actually been on Earth prior: That's why his craft was sent there.
The El's had been sent on a mission, years before, to infiltrate human society and study them by observation. They did, and while doing so, they set up a base in the arctic, dubbed The Fortress, where they modeled it as a sort of tribute to Krypton, should humans ever discover their existence. Clark uses various items in this Fortress, including a crimson tapestry, to forge an identity as a protector of Earth: Superman.
