Is nobody else worried about what the hulk is gonna look like? So far it doesn't sound to great..Mark Ruffalo's face, 'big green and bloated' and walking on all fours..?
They got it perfect in TIH, I don't know why they think they need to redo it...

He specifically stated he WOULD NOT be walking on all fours. He stated it would be his arms "flailing around". Most likely, he will have a sort of exaggerated, loping type gait, similar to what you would think of when a gorilla walks upright for short periods of time, or how those loony eyewitnesses to a Bigfoot sighting usually say the creature walks. Large, exaggerated arm movements, but most likely similar to how humans walk...

I'm very happy that Hulk will speak in this movie, and I hope he dishes out sentences instead of simple one liners like Hulk Smash or Hulk angry. Hulk speaking can bring out to things to the Hulk character: comedy gold and an endearing quality to the monster.

I've thought that both movies would have benefited with Hulk learning to speak through the course of the film. He could have started with just one and two-word sentences, and gradually moved to more complicated speech. It would have showed a little more character development across the the arc, and it could have been used to portray Banner gaining more and more control of the monster during the movie.
It would have benefited both characters.

I'd really, really like to see Hulk display the two parts of himself:
1. I'd like to see him struggling, but winning the internal war to control himself in non-combat and relatively stress-free situations BUT still use more of his baser abilities/instincts/attributes.
-For example, (and this is gonna sound weird until you really think about it), I've always thought Hulk should SNIFF a lot of things, especially when he is introduced to someone new to him. The sense of smell is one of the most powerful memory triggers human beings have, and it would show Banner, somewhere deep in the recesses of the Hulk's mind, trying to bring this monster to some sort of understanding, especially with people/things he encountered as Banner, and is now encountering as Hulk.
I could see Hulk encountering Black Widow for the first time, AFTER Banner has encountered her. Hulk walks up to her, and lifts a lock of her hair, and sniffs it, and only THEN does he realize he has encountered her before...
Additionally, we have all seen dogs show their dissaproval or disdain for a person by sniffing them, then doing that quasi "sneeze/exhale" thing they do to rid their nostrils of an odor they don't like. Gorillas do the same thing. I could see Hulk walking up to Thor, sniffing at him, then doing the sneeze/exhale thing to show his disdain for Thor, especially if it is after a tense confrontation.
These time could also show Banner rising to the surface of the Hulk's consciousness, by Hulk being able to answer simple questions and carry on a very fundamental conversation.
HOWEVER...
2. When stressed out, I want to see the more animalistic side of Hulk come out, and see/hear nothing out of him but the screams, roars, and grunts from the last movies...

Hmm.

In all seriousness, I do agree 'not a victim'. People tend to sniff a lot when they're annoyed or angry. As you wrote, gorillas sniff a lot and Ruffalo wants to make the Hulk more primal.

What I find odd are the complaints that the filmmakers want to change the Hulk, I mean, CGI just keeps advancing and in TF3 for example you can see Optimus and Bumblebee look slightly different (look at Prime's abs). I'm sure we'll see a Hulk even closer to the comics!

^Slight changes and improvements I dont mind, it tends to happen with all CGI characters, but I just hope the design stays the same.

I think one of the biggest mistakes from an FX point of view for both the Hulk movies is they DIDN'T do mo-cap for the Hulk. By the time TIH came around, it had been a proven technology ala Andy Serkis in the LOR movies.
I once watched a documentary about the evolution of special effects, and CGI in particular. The main tech guy they talked to stated one of the most fundamental problems of CGI is making large objects move realistically. He pointed out the Jurassic Park and King Kong remake as examples of film makers getting close, but still not doing a perfect job of making large objects/crreatures move realistically. He then pointed out that mocap was the way to go.
He actually pointed to the first Hulk movie as a complete failure for CGI. He showed his own renders of scenes from the movie, starting with the actual screen shots, and showed a much more realistic and natural looking Hulk both in motion and stationary...

There was motion capture for both movies as I recall.

Is motion capture not specifically capturing real movements on to a computer?

I think the point that Ruffalo keeps hammering home about Hulk in The Avengers is that its the first time that: a) the Hulk will be rendered completely with motion capture (and not just some certain movements and facial animations like the two Hulk movies), and b) Ruffalo will be doing all of the mo-cap work himself.

Basically, the best route to go when attempting to animate a CG character that is humanized is to do the mocap route, because animation will always just look like animation unless you have a reference point. Hulk moving with somewhat real world physics tossed into the mix works better I think. A real top heavy humanoid would kind of be a little off kilter.

As far as I can recall, the only mocap for either movie was the mocap done to Norton's face. I think Ang Lee did a very limited amount of mocap for the first movie himself, but it is my understanding most of it was scrapped.

Ang Lee was in a mocap suit for that whole scene in Aveitwithjamon's avatar, if not throughout the whole movie. For TIH both Ed Norton and Tim Roth had suits on.

So is the hulk gonna look like the Hulk or a big green, bloated Mark Ruffalo? Cause the latter does not sound good.

to me this sounds alot like john buscema's hulk...which is my all time favorite;-)...

but i guess it will also have some influences from the modern comics as well in terms of looks...hopefully as well balanced as the other characters so far;-)

and no...i dont want a purple hulk;-)

his arms have always being massive and a tat longer as long as they dont float around like ang lees hulk when he jumped away....these movements bugged me alot...i mean the arms to the side like if he would try to fly....cant find a picture..oh well...it wont not be that of an issue;-)

but now....i found this picture...i hope they will stay away as much as possible from this version....

IMO Hulk should look like this throughout the entire movie, both design and cgi level wise.

Is that not Sal Buscema's Hulk? I know that John Buscema did draw a great looking Hulk, but he isn't automatically associated with the character. Also, I'm pretty sure that is Sal's artwork, and the signature in the black and white picture looks like it spells Sal more than it looks like John even though the first letter could be read as either an S or a J (but the following letters look more like an A and an L).

It's Sal. That's my favorite version of the Hulk too.

Now this...

... sucks, and sucks hard. It looks like he's got chubby baby legs. Ugh.

He'd fit well with Juan Bobillo's chubby She-Hulk though. Never has the gamma gal looked so un-hot.

Changing the Hulk design is like changing an actor. The point of Avengers is to bring together the actors we've seen in solo films. It's unfortunate we're not getting the entire cast, and changing the Hulk is an added unnecessary and unfortunate event.
