Maybe have Thor trading blows with Hulk without Mjolnir.

That would be awesome, it would also be cool if they ended up grappling with each other during the fight as well.

how so, thor and odin were the only two people who lifted it.

you can't judge a weapon wielder's physical prowess if they are the only ones who can handle such a weapon.

how do you know that someone wouldn't be able to throw it harder and faster???

He threw it through like fifteen Frost Giants in one throw and everytime he hit one of them with it they were sent flying.

It's the strength of the wielder of the weapon that enables large creatures to be sent flying like they were rag dolls, not the weapon itself.

I definitely want to see that. But up to this point, they've done a good job in the Hulk movies keeping him from interacting with other humans in a physical nature.

There's been a lot of property damage, & of course he and another cgi creation mixed it up pretty good, but aside from that, they've deftly kept him away from too much human contact. A full on wrestling match might be fantastic, but it also might look disastrous

I say scrap the tv show and give us another movie.

why not have a tv show and another movie? they can co-exist. im down for the new series as long as it isn't a teeny bopper tv show. the next time you see the hulk on the big screen will be the avengers.

Watching TIH on FX right now. It's very entertaining, but I admit, it just doesn't feel like's part of the MCU for some reason, despite the SHIELD elements.

It'll just be hard because Hulk is first and foremost a CG creation, and the only way it'll be seamless is when he's just hanging around in a scene with other humans, either talking or whatever. When he's fighting Thor, it could look REALLY stupid unless they do it right.

nah, can't agree with you there unfortunately.

it's a mystical weapon so normal laws don't imply

case in point, it flew miles with the single gesture of thor's hand to get it back in the first place when he got his powers back

at such a velocity it could have obliterated anything in its path.

now if a single gesture without any immpetus of momentum can get it flying like that, i doubt the strength of the user has anything to do with it

besides, the strength comes WITH wielding the hammer

who ever wields this hammer, (if he be worthy), shall posses the POWER of thor.

so the power is centric to the hammer, not the user/wielder of it.

it wouldn't be a more/less powerful entity in the hands of hulk or professor x strength wise.

the only way a tv show would kinda work would be with a seriously repressed hulk with samsom subduing banner before he ever truly changes (apart from perhaps season finales).

or maybe with the use of a human green hulk

in any case, having different coloured glowing eyes and perhaps a beefed up human may be enough to get away with it...but who wants that

it'll turn into smallville where we end up waiting ten years for his first proper hulk out.

plus he doesn't have enough decent villains to carry a long going series without lots of hero cameos

It wasn't Thor's hand gesture that caused the hammer to fly a few miles to get to him, it was Odin sending it to him because of his newly regained "worthiness".

It says "shall possess the power of Thor" not the "power of Mjolnir", Thor had "Thor's power" before Mjolnir even came to the picture.

So Thor doesn't get anymore powerful from using Mjolnir since it's using HIS power to begin with, Thor's power is what the wielder recieves not Mjolnir's power.

I'm confused...I'll admit that I don't understand a lot about Thor and I'm not trying to be sarcastic. If what you're saying is true, then why was he getting beaten down by normal humans in the movie before he got his Hammer back? Is it because he was finally worthy? I mean, if you're a God you're a God right?

He was stripped of his power. So his god-hood was sorta taken away

Yeah, his power was taken away from him by Odin and his mammer just served as a condiut for him to get them back.

The thing that makes me think Thor is underpowered is from that spy video of him hitting that car with Mjolnir. Yea sure it flipped over about 5 times, but really, that car should be sailing through the air about a mile.

And when he hits those aliens they dont fly away. Maybe he's just holding back. Perhaps he didnt hit it with his full strength

I say this.

I doubt that the show will be teeny bopper tv, I'm sure they'll trying to appeal to a wider audience.

I think the aliens are going to be sent flying via "CGI" rather than wires and I also think that car will fly alot farther in the film after that scene is digitally enhanced.

Why make the car actually roll if you are just gonna make it fly super far in post?

The same way the Frost Giant barely moved when Thor hit them in the behind the scenes videos before they added the effects.

Well clearly it is hard to tell cause the effects just are not there yet.... But I am guessing Thors gonna be sending dueds flying and Cap will just be holding his own....

Take note in one of those shots Cap is on the ground and his shield is away from him like he got Knocked out and Thor is still cleaning house....

But I am also guesing Thor will recognize just how great Steves heart is.... willing to fight beings more powerful then himself....quite the mortal and imortal moment I am sure.

Well we know Cap and Thor are going to scuffle at some point in the movie. I'm guessing when Thor first makes it back to Earth.

I'm just referring to the car. They actually make it roll quite a ways. If they were gonna make it fly a long way then they probably just wouldve made the car just flip over and then replace it with a cg car to fly away. but the real car flipped several times

Exactly :woot:

It really doesn't matter how far it flipped, it could still be raplaced by CG in the film. They prolly made it flip multiple times to give it realistic momentum, anyways it's far too early to tell now.
