Waiting on word if DOJ will appeal. Comcast will bid tomorrow.
Disney better get ready for a fight. It's time to chose between Sky and the Fox Assets. Comcast is going to aggressively pursue the deal

Comcast is already down 4%. Market seems to not want them to engage in bidding war.

Disney will still come out on top. Shocked the judge approved but Thanos isn't the only one getting all the Infinity Stones.

That's for damn sure.

No biggie. We all knew the ruling would likely go largely in AT&T's favor and Comcast would bid.

Let's just get on with it.

I can’t imagine Universal doing worse than Fox has done. After the Fan4stic debacle the only way you can now is go up. Seeing as it’s a low bar since the FF have never have a good film worthy of the brand it really won’t be hard at all to make a Fantastic Four film better than all the ones on the past(that’s not saying much obviously) but FF started Marvel and out of all the properties that Marvel doesn’t have access to the Fantastic Four is a must-have IMO.

Yeah, it would be hard to not make a film better than what we've gotten so far, and I have faith Marvel will put a lot of effort into really doing it right. Universal might give it a try, but I doubt they would put the kind of effort into it Marvel would. I think Marvel feels they have something to prove with FF.

I hope Comcast's stock plummets as soon as they make their bid.

It won’t matter to Roberts. He’ll still bid no matter how much debt he could put his company in. This is very bad the deal is now seriously in danger, now.

Both CMCSA and DIS are down after hours. A bid war is - probably - coming. I feel Iger may just step out and get the 1.5B.

Exactly.

Bob Iger is a smart man and knows how to play the game. He told us to expect the X-Men, Deadpool and the F4 in the MCU and I'm sticking by it.

Its not bad, it just means that it won't be easy.
I beg to differ. Comcast is now going be much more aggressive than ever in their pursuit of the Fox assets and that could seriously stymie the deal since Disney’s stock could go down as they prepare for a really nasty bidding war. I’d say it’s bad but the situation isn’t hopeless.

Pray Iger got a poison pill clause on the deal, say that we get the FF if certain things happen?

Would Fox be worth 60+ Bills if the Marvel rights were not part of the deal?

The Marvel assets are an afterthought. There are assets that fit Comcast pretty well with Fox (Sky, Star, etc). That said Roberts would love a chance to stick it to Disney by playing keep away with the Marvel rights.

Yep. The Marvel Rights are not the primary motivator for either Comcast's forthcoming bid for Fox or Disney's currently pending purchase of Fox.

Roberts is prepared to go as overboard as he thinks he needs to, while Iger is more reserved.
Bob gave up a potential presidential run for this deal. He has to see it through to the end. Maybe Disney and Comcast will make a deal to avoid an All-out bidding war? This is the best course of action right now

Who knows where things will go from here. Things are just going to have to play out.
