Why? Gunn isnt Feige. Not to derail the thread since theres other threads to discuss that fiasco but I still think theres exciting things abound for the Marvel Universe with this merger even without Gunn. While Im much less excited about Guardians Vol. 3 I still think Marvel is in good hands enough with Feige and I cant wait to see Feiges take on the Fantastic Four(if he doesnt leave over this, I hope).
The fact that Horn, who has never made a Marvel Studios personnel announcement, made this one suggests that Feige may not have been in agreement with Gunn's dismissal. And his contract is up next year. I'm not saying that Kevin's a definite goner if it turns out he was overruled by his boss, but it's a bad time for this mess. And I have much more confidence in an expanded MCU with Feige at the helm than I would with his replacement.
