Unpopular opinion but I could take or leave BP/Nakia. Don't get me wrong, I think Lupita did a great job in the role, but as far as romantic chemistry between her and Chadwick, I just didn't catch it. I just think that on a greater level, a live action (natural) romance between BP & Storm would be amazing because of what it's symbolic of. The Wakandan King and the African Goddess together and kicking ass, that's black love personified.

And you and I both know black people will go out IN DROVES to see a BP/Storm wedding. Black Twitter would act the fool lol.
Chemistry is subjective. T'Challa and Nakia have chemistry to me. I want storm to be a hero in her own right, I don't want her to be reduced to bp's gf. I want her to have her own love interest and possibly her own movie. And I don't think black fans will like bp dumping Nakia after everything she did for him. We might even get a wedding between bp and Nakia, so its not like we can't get it without Storm. T'Challa is a king, his wedding is always going to be a big deal no matter who he's getting married to.

Isn't Nakia destined to be a villain? like Carol Ferris is for Green Lantern.

It will be out of character for MCU Nakia to become a villain, same goes for M'baku. MCU is not the comics.

In the MCU, Wolverine can have Professor Xavier's role and even his own wheelchair. He can reveal a bald head under that bouffant hairstyle.

He can also have Magneto's role and then he can play chess with himself.

He can also be a new student and a mature student. And if you give him both Scott and Ororo's role, he can fight himself to contest the leadership, leaving him as Professor X to decide the winner.
I hope there is one of those accidental reflection shots that show the crew left in the film by mistake, so we can see a bunch of Hugh Jackmans behind the camera too.

I don't necessarily need Storm to be T'Challa's endgame in the MCU. But I do want her to have ties to Wakanda. I can take or leave the romance between them as Storm still has other men in the X-Men universe that would be suited to her i.e Forge and even Wolverine. But especially Forge. I want to see that relationship explored before they get to T'Challa marrying Storm

Chairman of Walt Disney direct-to-consumer and International says there’s a possibility the Netflix shows can still be revived.

Would you consider reviving the Marvel showsthat Netflix canceled?

“They are very high-quality shows. We haven't yet discussed that, but  I would say that's a possibility.”

Yeah... coming up with a painless way to replace Nakia with Storm wouldn't be easy. It doesn't help that Nakia is played by a very popular actress.

Good news indeed. Let's hope he convices the rest of the people at Disney.

Would definitely be exciting, but I'm definitely not going to get my hopes up that it's anything more than posturing or a PR move.

I think that may be truthful enough in that they don't really know what they are going to do the Netflix characters yet, one way or another. Hopefully after the merger is complete Marvel announces a re-org that bring the TV side under Marvel Studios, maybe under the direction of someone like Louis D'isposito. I imagine we won't hear anything regarding these characters until maybe September of next year.

I think it's also just he hasn't spoken to Marvel Television yet. They're very busy getting Disney+ ready and for anyone who hasn't worked in a corporate space before things can move very slow. Sometimes finding time for multiple people to be available for a meeting can be tough. At some point Marvel Television will go an pitch shows, New Warriors and netflix revivals will surely be on the agenda to discuss.

For him to make that statement, they must not see any real problems in Brazil and Mexico.

If he makes that statement and then it takes 6 more months to close, there are going to be some angry shareholders.
If they see no problem, then that means that they are working diligently with both Brazil and Mexico to address any concerns.

Funny enough I recall when a lot of people wanted Lupita to play Storm in Apocalypse. She dodged that bullet.

I wonder if, had she been cast, in typical Fox fashion, Storm's role in Apocalypse was beefed up. A writer for the first films admitted they beefed up Storm's role after Halle won an Oscar.

Not sure if she would have actually been cast because it's supposed to be a teen Storm. But still.

I feel like bringing up Storm in a Black Panther movie has nothing to do with tying her with T'Challa. It's about Black Panther providing a fantastic plataform to celebrate african culture in the most beautiful way. It's about respecting Ororo's origin in the best way they can rather than just making her T'Challa's love interest.

I honestly don't feel like any X-Men movie can celebrate and respect Ororo's heritage as beautifully as the team behind Black Panther can. Unless we're talking about Coogler and that creative team joining the X-Men movies, which I'm certainly not oppossed to. But right now, Black Panther has the best plataform in the MCU to introduce Storm, in my opinion.

Ororo can be introduced there, then later take the leading role that she deserves in the X-Men movies.

Then why not give her her own film?
