I hope to see Magneto finally dressed in red and purple and wearing a proper Magneto helmet.

:o

That was a Singer decision, though. If Vaughn made the movie, maybe he would have had it.

If only Liam Neeson was just a tad bit younger... he would totally nail MCU Magnus.

I could see him killing that line.

Honestly, if they don't race bend Magneto or anything and use his classic origin, Liam Neeson would actually look young for Magneto. Since he'd actually be like, way older than his comics counterpart shows (yes I know...he has anti-aging serum, blah blah blah, LOL!).

Magneto (played by Liam Neeson): I have a particular set of skills...of the POWER OF MAGNETISM! :cmad:

I like the idea of Bryan Cranston playing Magneto. Though he has expressed interest in playing Mr. Sinister, but I’d rather they avoid Magneto for some time in the MCU. He’s been overexposed.

He would make for a gray magneto who could be both villain and heroic.
And he could give us a Magbeto closer to this:

Bana has the chops to give us a layered Magneto with pathos. Make his parents survivors of the Holocaust only to be murdered in the Bosnian genocide with Erik narrowly escaping death himself. This is a good update on the character and it makes him even more complex. His parents told him stories of the atrocities committed in the Auschwitz death camp only to have history repeat itself in the early 90s. This gives Magneto a compelling reason to hate humans and believe that history is bound to repeat itself with mutants.

Plus he could play Magneto/Erik for the next 20 years at only 50. Neeson is too much in vein of McKellen and too old.

Cold make him romani which would fit. Also a riminder that it wasn't just jewish people killed in the holocaust.

I really liked his Nero in Star Trek, I think magneto is such a good role for a talented actor and talented writers to really deep dive into.

You got my vote.

I just want the MCU to make Magneto the physical threat that he is too. Like having him do actual fights with the X-Men.

Hope they adapt Fatal Attractions and have him rip the adamantium right from Wolverine’s body.
That would be a crazy scene. Feige said there are moments from the comics that he'd want to see with the MCU's version of Magneto, this could be one of them :

And that’s a gift that keeps on giving: you lay the groundwork for Onslaught and it could lead to a MCU Wolverine solo about his recovery and the bone claws.

I just can’t wait to see how they explain details like Adamantium. Especially how the MCU solidified Vibranium as being the toughest metal they have.

...it’s magic. They don’t need to explain it.
