Someone has to be the bucks behind the frontline criminals. Who better than Wilson Fisk. I could see a simple scene at the end of FFH.... Just The shadow outline aggainst a window over NYC.... and Mysterios or the replacement for Wesley saying that someone cannot repay, as they are incarcerated/missing presumed dead....
And d'Orofino saying quietly: "This spiderman is becoming a pestilence. Reach out to our friends in the media, you know the ones."

That’s sounds pretty promising from Loeb. I hope that means Cox, Bernthal, D’Onofrio, Ritter & Missick get a chance in the MCU, and if not then they get people at least as good.

It would be cool if it was Fisk who actually hired Mysterio to mess with Spider-Man because Spider-Man messed with Fisk's operations in Homecoming. Apparently Fury is the one who hires Mysterio but that doesn't really make sense.

I want them to take a page out of Spider-Man: The Animated Series. Have Kingpin be a much bigger force. Now, he doesn't have to control all of the Spidey criminals like in that cartoon, but he could be behind some of them, especially the more petty criminals who can't finance themselves. And he could also be a rival to someone like Norman Osborne.

And make the Kingpin also be an adversary of the Punisher as well.

I'd like to see Kingpin financing more criminals, so that we get more super suits. It would also be great if there were a big gang war like there has been in the Spidey comics between two or more criminal factions.

These and Elodie Yung are the only ones I care about.

I think it'd be cool if Kingpin was established to have been a business partner of Toomes in the past. That or he runs into him in prison or something, and he gets his old contacts and gives some tech to people. Creating new Spider-Man villains.

I'd see that team-up movie. Throw Cox and D'Onofrio in that one

But can this Fisk be a threat to peter? I love the actor, but peter will be done with him in minutes.
That’s why Kingpin has never worked for me as a foe for Spider-Man since when I think about it Spidey already has superhuman strength so he should be able to easily mop the floor with Wilson Fisk who while he does posses a big stature & is quite strong still doesn’t have super-strength. At best he’s peak human strength which is never going to match Radioactive Spider powered super-strength no matter how hard Kingpin trains.

At least in Batman even though it’s obvious Joker is never going to be a match for the Caped Crusader in terms of physical strength you always know that character more than makes up for it by being clever & smart enough as a cerebral villian that hatches extremely elaborate schemes/plans that throw off even the Word’s Greatest Detective. It seems like Peter goes easy on Fisk since if he really went all out he could really kill him(Spider-Man in the comics pulls back on his punches to avoid them being fatal). Here’s an example: Peter beats the living crap out of Kingpin after he gets Auny May shot. And he isn’t holding back here:

Thing is for a guy like Fisk or Lex Luthor is beating them with fists usually isn't what is required. I too never bought Spidey losing to Fisk in a fight. You need to bring down their empire, as well. That's why someone like Fisk is scary. So you just need to not have whatever Spider-Man's and Fisk's conflict boil down to fists. Fisk has to be outsmarting Peter. I think it would be a good learning experience to have Parker take on someone more cerebral like a Fisk and maybe be mentored by DD to learn this lesson. That would be my approach to using Kingpin in a Spidey film.

The ps4 spider-man game did a great job using Kingpin. Hoping they would take inspiration from that.

Apparently End Game trailer 2 might drop a bit earlier this time compared to Infinity War given captain marvel is opening 1st week of March. They might want to put Carol front and centre and have it play before Captain Marvel. Also means we could be looking at 3 trailers for End Game.

Where is he hiding his web-shooters? Was this some ultimate version with organic web-shooters or something?
If I recall correctly they did in fact give the 616 Spider-Man organic webbing like he had in the Riami films for awhile. This occured after Peter went through a mutation after being kissed by the villaness known as the Queen which caused him to turn into a giant Spider or whatever and found out that his Spider powers had increased as a result of this. Though this didn’t last too long, and I believe they ultimately reverted back to his classic mechanical webshooters after Peter made a deal with Mephisto to undo his marriage with Mary Jane. As a consequence of this: it reset Peter’s powers back to the way were before the metamorphosis.

Here’s a good article on this.

Edit: Correction, no official explanation has ever been given for the loss of the organic webbing but I just assumed it’s merely because of the ramifications of One More Day storyline.

Yeah, that sounds great.

Thanks! I was just sort of curious, I feel bad for you going to all that trouble, but I didn't know he ever had organic web-shooters in the comics, so I learned something.

The Captain Marvel forums over at Hype is a mess, lol. More discussion about the controversy about Brie Larson’s comments than the movie itself, lol.

This might be the first MCU film I’ve seen with so much pre-release negativity surrounding it. Black Panther had a little a bit of that but it wasn’t as bad as this. The mixed reactions most of the trailers have gotten as well as Larson’s comments has created this massive negative cloud looming over the movie.

It’s kind of sad. Could this be Marvel’s first real miss? what’s happening with this film?

Why are you bringing that evil here!!! :cmad:

I had no idea there was any controversy. To me, CM just looks kind of boring, but I haven't heard anything beyond that.

... but there's no such thing as bad publicity. It will be breaking records when it opens.

Im still somewhat torn on Marvel casting Brie. Someone like Alicia Vikander or Emily Blunt would have been who I would cast but then again I know nothing about casting movies. Really hoping Feige can prove us all wrong with the with the movie. And Carol ends up being my new fav character.

What comments is she saying? I haven't read anything.

Something about she wishes white males wouldn't cover her movie or something like that. I am probably misquoting here, but I know it had something to do with white males and political agenda. I haven't followed the movie too closely, so I'm not too sure exactly what the controversy is.
