Does the 2 year lockout of the Netflix characters extend to film appearances?

What about The NeverEnding Story or Enemy Mine?

Well the Never Ending Story sounds like something that would be made by Constantin. They should've called it the Constant Story instead. :o

Wow. The greatest Marvel villain of all time is home. Get ready for the reign of Doom

On the subject of Doctor Doom, I came across this GIF of him, and I was wondering if one of our resident Fantastic Four fanatics (@Willie Lumpkin?) could tell me what exactly is going on. Is it part of Doom's classic power set?

I've never been the hugest FF fan (thanks, Fox), and so the powers he showed never amazed me, but seeing him here seemingly creating what I can only describe as a nuclear bomb... ho-ly f***k!

I think I just might be a Fantastic Four fan now.

To be fair that Dr. Doom had stolen odin's powers. Normal doom I dont think can stop nukes with a waive of his hands.

Doom has no natural powers, but he has the infinite power of his mind and his ability to modify his armor to his purposes. He also has all kinds of high tech weapons, androids etc. and mystic knowledge and capabilities that allow him to perform Dr. Strange type manipulations.

I don’t know where that scene is from or what he’s supposed to be doing, but I would presume he has controls in his armor that allow him to detonate the missiles.

Cool scene no matter what the details.

Tried watching every FF film in celebration but failed at Fant4stic. It's just so boring, at least the others were entertaining in some way. Fant4stic is where fun goes to die.

Well it does say "One Year Later" at some point in the film, and it feels like one year later.

I actually don't mind the first Tim Story film. It's kind of fun and I enjoy Ben and Johnny

If have you tried watching it drunk with some friends?

Fan4tisc is the movie you can't finish awake!

If you wake up during the part when it says "One Year Later", you'll be wondering how come you managed to sleep so long.

Doesn't it also say "Seven years later" or something like that?

It's tolerable if I shut my brain off and think of it as a generic superhero flick. Like Ben, but can't stand Johnny he's a jerk to everyone and an incredibly shallow 1-dimensional character. I used to think he was one of the saving graces, but now I don't like him.

I don't drink, but that film could turn me to alcohol.

With Marvel finally getting the FF rights back my feelings have now softened on that movie.

Same.

Isn't Reed sort of a dick to Ben too? Indirectly, I mean. Ben in the original run was a huge A-hole so it made sense why Johnny wanted to play around with him

He wasn't as hung-up on the fact that he destroyed his friends life like in the comics. I didn't take it as being a jerk though as I was distracting by the giant piece of crap called Johnny Storm. I only thought that Reed was completely inept and if it wasn't for the science-speak he'd be seen as a complete idiot.
Johnny had none of the depth of his comic-counterpart that explains why he teases Ben.
And Sue was just there. Made zero impact which is a feat for a film with only 4 main characters.

All in all the only character I liked from the 05 film is Ben. He's the closest they came to capturing the comic version.

Johnny Storm was better than MBJ's Johnny Storm, who just came across as mean to Ben Grimm by calling him a Thing that nobody wanted. They didn't even have any kind of friendship before.

It's like if a co-worker you don't even talk to starts making fun of you one day. It's okay if a friend teases you, because you have a rapport. But a complete stranger? That's what MBJ was to Jamie Bell's Grimm. And he already had enough bullying from his abusive older brother who clobbered him with clobbering time.

It doesn’t matter anymore but I n case anyone still interested the FNE in Chile announced its decision online. I think DIS was told of the pre-approval some time ago before they put out their anticipated closing date.

Didn't Ben at one point in the original run betray the F4 and try to hold them captive in the medieval time as a pirate? I know he was depressed by his situation but he seems to be a genuine *****e at times. It seemed like half the time he was the one picking the fights with Johnny as opposed to vice versa.

That being said, Chiklis' portrayal of Ben was spot-on
