I think he is too old for Scott. He will be late 30s by the time they reboot the films and even if Marvel goes with a veteran X-Men, I don't see them going THAT old. Late 20s to early 30s.

I could definitely see him as Reed, though. Especially for those that want the classic Kirby Doc Savage/Indiana Jones-esque version. Cavill could fill that role nicely.

I could also see him as the Sentry whom is basically a Superman template.

Namor too.

He looks way too bulky for Namor at the moment. He'd have to slim down. I think for any future role he needs to do that anyway, unless he's playing a Superman-type role.

Worst case scenario, at least we will have Spider-Man in five MCU films. That's a lot better than zero.

In the days before Jackman and Downey we would have looked at a 5 pack of appearances by the same actor as a crowning achievement. It's just one fewer than the combined DCEU appearances of Cavill and Affleck!

Isn't Captain Britain really tall? Like 6'6"? I suppose they can forgo the height. I've always wanted to see Captain Britain's original lionheart costume with the full face mask and the hair showing. But he had blond hair. Don't know if Cavill would look good as a blond.

Sony might be open to him turning up in future mcu films, we just don't know at this point. We'll have to wait and see. Just hop far from home does well and sony think that they have a good deal with marvel. Bit of a mess really.
