Feige's not going to leave people weeping leaving the theaters post Endgame. That was Infinity War's job. The film is going to end on a hopeful note and a comedic post credit scene, which they've done for a good chunk of their films, would be well received.
I don’t agree, I do think the ending for Endgame will likely be bittersweet but hopeful and that will be enough.

Having a Deadpool post-credit scene in a serious finale to an era of the MCU like Endgame is just about one the worst ideas ever, and I trust Feige to be smart enough storytellers to refrain from such cynical pandering.

I agree, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. I honestly think a nod to anything but the FF would be pandering.

Ultimately, I'd rather them not tease anything yet. At least not in Endgame.
Can they just halt Eternals and start production on MCU Uncanny X-Men?

I kind of like the idea of the Eternals film possibly explaining the existence of mutants.

Willie, feel like you have my F4/Doom partner in crime for years, this is a YUGE DAY for us....beyond pumped to see what the future holds for the cosmic quartet, the Latverian ruler, the Devourer of worlds, and more

It's just SO exciting now that anything can happen at any time.

I used to get a pang of depression when I would see the latest Marvel film and see how they nailed it with FF, Doom etc. exiled, but it's just an indescribably great feeling to know it's finally possible.:yay:

I am actually rather excited for Eternals and what it could bring. Also, the project is way too far along. We only have 2 MCU films next year as it is. Developing an X-Men film should in no way block movies that are about to film.

I'm just saying that if we were to get anything related to the Fox properties, Deadpool is the most likely. At least, in my opinion.

No

Has there been any mention of this from Feige or any other big names on Twitter etc.? I assume somebody would post it here if there was something, but I'm not very plugged into those things.

If it's going to be Deadpool in the end credits, does it really have to break the 4th wall? Can't it simply be Deadpool gearing up then wink or something?

Right. Infinity War was just the appetizer in terms of leaving people weeping. I mean arguably the most emotional scene in Infinity War was when Spidey got dusted but we all know he's alive and well. Lol. If speculation upholds there will definitely be more tears from some after endgame.

Please for the love of God dont rush anything... This isn't DC/WB. I want Feige to make sure he has enough time to plan and incorporate these characters into the MCU and not have another Iron Man 2.

I want to see the Fantastic Four as much as anyone, but it would be bitter sweet to rush a subpar product. Again... this isn't Fox.

This! Also a big reason why I think we'll see the F4 before the X-Men

As for the introduction of the Fox characters, I think it's a difficult question. The potential risk is that having something in Endgame takes too much of the focus away from the original group, and, if something like a Deadpool tease is included, tremendously undercuts the gravity of this chapter of the story. And yet, Marvel Studios has to keep momentum going- and they know it. What better way than this.

Ultimately, I think just being able to say that it will happen today is more important for me than how it will happen. As long as Feige and the rest at Marvel Studios respect the source material- and we know they will- the rest is just... details.

I'm not expecting an FF film until 2022 at the absolute earliest, and I'm fine with that.

Someone had suggested FF will be the Nov. 2021 film to celebrate the anniversary of FF #1, and that would be cool, but I doubt it will happen.

That'd be too soon and I think Shang-Chi is going to end up with the Nov '21 date

Something as simple as a bright silver 'meteor' shooting past the GOTG et al, rocking their ship and prompting Rocket to say "What the hell was that?" would get people like us giddy while not locking in any story-lines, cast, design etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed something like that.

Nope, No waiting... Time for another Sony hack... Time to press for those radioactive rights to come home with the final 30% of Hulu....

The big ones are down, sort of.... the heart and soul of Marvel need to come home next. Let's get Spidey home forever, and the rest of the Green Goliath's rights headed back as well.

With Stadia announced and Sony's interest in Live TV, content, and IP there's an opportunity. Sony doesn't control all of Spider-man's IP and Live sports TV is extremely valuable. Stadia and XCloud will also force Sony to spend major amounts of capital on the gaming division as a new generation is about 18 months away at the latest.

Disney has leverage. Fox Sports Brazil, Fox Sports Mexico, DIS SNE Mex film distribution, Endemol Shine. All things Sony has shown interest in. It depends how much Dis values the SM rights Sony owns and how much they want all those rights from Sony.

Comcast will be trickier, but it depends on how much they offer for the 30% of Hulu. The outstanding tv/movie rights will be easier to get than the theme park one. The latter would have to be done over a period of time, not overnight.

What about a character simply references Latveria?

I think a movie is gonna be later than 2021. The schedule probably looks something like this:

May 2020 - Black Widow
Nov 2020 - Eternals
Feb 2021 - Panther 2
May 2021 - Strange 2
Nov 2021 - Shang Chi
Feb 2022 - Cap Marvel 2
May 2022 - Guardians 3
July 2022 - Ant Man 3

Plus all the Disney+/Hulu shows. Unless they take up the Fox spots and fast track other movies, I don't expect an XMen or FF movie until late 2022 or 2023. Cameos and intro before that, of course. If I'm wrong I'll be happy to eat crow.

If I’m not mistaken the Eternals have something to do with the X-gene in the comics, correct?

Correct. Experimentation done by the Celestials created the Eternals, Deviants, and the potential for humans to evolve into mutants.

I can live with the current Spider-Man arrangement so long as Marvel and Sony extend the Homecoming deal and keep him in the MCU. At least that deal is providing us Spider-Man content. Hulk's rights are higher priority for me. I want a dang sequel!!!! A legit Hulk solo with Ruffalo!!!! :cmad:

I'm 90% sure Volume 3 is getting a Surfer/Galactus cameo/mention.

 We could come up with an infinite number of cool scenarios that would be very quick and simple. Feige knows where he's going over the next 5 years, so he knows what would really make sense in his long-range plan, and I suspect he'll throw us a bone.
