Anybody knows who does Namor rights belong?
You guys are way too harsh on Kimberg. He's with fox so he's automatically horrible to some of you.
Marvel Studios has most ownership.
Universal has distribution rights for an individual Namor film.
Does that mean Marvel Studios need permission from Universal to make Namor film?

It means if they make a Namor solo movie then either Universal would distribute it or Disney would have to work something out with them financially to be able to distribute it themselves.
But Marvel Studios can include Namor in an ensemble movie (Avengers, Fantastic Four, or any other hero movie) and they'd be in their full right to use the character there and distribute that film on their own.
t: Ever since Civil War and that [BLACKOUT]underwater prison[/BLACKOUT] I started thinking could we get Namor in MCU.You guys are way too harsh on Kimberg. He's with fox so he's automatically horrible to some of you.

The timing, if not deliberate, was certainly an unfortunate coincidence for Simple Simon.Anybody else think that there's a chance that Marvel released this bit of casting today as a slap in the face to this Kinberg hack, to shut him up?
The thing is, why then did Disney - DISNEY! - hand over TV rights to FOX? I suppose Legion and Hellfire may throw off a few shekles, but we're talking about a company that just closed down its in-house gaming studio because while it was making money, it wasn't making ENOUGH money. Disney is all about franchises, and I can't see the Mouse squandering the opportunity to expand the wildly successful MCU in exchange for a couple of bucks.
I am convinced that Disney would not have expanded FOX's rights to the X-Men character family without getting character rights in exchange. And the ramblings of a clearly delusional hack won't sway my opinion.
I was debating with someone on another forum about this FF topic (and him claiming Fox had the rights to do cross over films based on what Kinberg had said in 2015) and this came up. He claims that the talks between Marvel and Fox led to the realization that the live tv deal was part of the original films deal between the two entities. Hence no new deal was needed and Fox didn't have to give anything to develop new XMen tv shows. Sounds very far fetched though.

Yeah considering Fox and Marvel had gone to court before and it was ruled that Marvel still had the TV rights.

Dana Walden at FOX confirmed that the two sides were in negotiations back in August. The announcement was made about two months later. That's an awful lot of time wasted on unnecessary negotiations.

With Jordan exiting the EFF U (Extended Fantastic Four Universe) for the MCU, it's clear Mr. Kinberg is as clueless as we've long suspected
