That good thing about Rose's May is that at least she wasnt sick all the time or near death i'm gld about that but I also love Sally's May also
"We were stupid and dangerous. Remember when we were stupid and dangerous?"Definitely! I can tell that her character as well as Sheen's Uncle Ben had some hippy roots!
Welcome to the hype ^^, even in the comics when they introduced her MJ had over shadowed Gwen and because they her being fan favorite the writer to decided to kill her off , just because they fel they couldnt do anything with her (which imo is crap) but anyways somethings cant be translated well from the comics like that dynamic between them so i'm glad they did cut herI would say it's time for Gwen to die at the end in this one. There is a problem with doing so, and that would be the issue of not introducing Mary Jane before Gwen dies. In the comics that is an important part, but with the movie it becomes a bit of a dilemma. Right now, Gwen and Peter are in love. The problem with introducing Mary Jane at this stage would be that it takes away the spot light and the impact of Gwen dying would be harder to pull off. In the comics it worked, but then Mary Jane was introduced earlier, and she didn't come into the picture when Peter and Gwen were already madly in love. So with the first movie in mind and how they set the relationship up, it might be for the best to introduce Mary Jane after Gwen is gone.
The reason I feel it's the right time for Gwen to die is because in comparison to Mary Jane, she isn't as big of a love interest to Peter. Yes, in many ways she was his first true love, and her death had terrible consequences, but when you think of Peter and his love life, Mary Jane needs to be a bigger part than Gwen. Right now they have four movies planned, more might very well come, but having Gwen for two movies is logical and then moving on with Mary Jane. To me it would feel weird to keep Gwen for a third movie, and having Mary Jane with fewer appearances. It would also seem weird to build a relationship over three movies if you know it's gonna end either way, and that would result in Mary Jane feeling more like a second prize than being "the one" for Peter.
But that's just my thoughts really.

Gwen isn't a big love interest to Peter.. Lol.
Anyway welcome to the hype![]()
I mean that in contrast to Mary Jane ofc. If you remove Mary Jane, Gwen is probably his biggest love interest overall. But considering MJ isn't in this movie universe yet, it feels a bit weird to spend more than two movies on Gwen. That's just my opinion though. :P
Also, thanks for the welcome!
Yessir. There's more to it than we know and you pointed out what's most likely to be the case. It's gonna hurt way bad at the end. After watching the featurette, I think the movie's going to be way more heartbreaking now.
It seems like a huge part of the movie is Peter struggling to let Gwen go, and at the bridge scene I think he believes they could continue their relationship even while she's at Oxford.
If she dies, all his hopes of a future will crumble apart in one night and all his efforts to keep her would have been for nothing. It'll be so brutal to think he came so close to staying with her. That's gonna be the real tragedy.

THIS! THIS will only add onto Peter's guilt after she... y'know... *snap*if she ends up staying for peter and dies in the process... If it's delivered right, i will probably cry like a miserable baby... Feels gang, feels.![]()
I think I know what you're talking about. I don't think the jacket is damaged. I think it's just a yellow print or pattern on the inside of her jacket. Gwen heads to Peter's house and leaves in a cab, which probably leads to her driving by the bridge in a cab, which probably leads to them being on the rooftop ("This is my path"), which leads to her being webbed to the hood of a car (and eventually the powerplant/clocktower battle.)
