Yeah, hopefully wont be long now :) Empire site has been a ***** all morning so I've yet to hear much of it.

So when I was driving to work earlier with Imagine The Fire playing via Empire via my phone, the strangest thing happened. I turned into Batman :wow: and then my car turned into the tumbler and all the motorists around me turned into cops and/or Bane's henchmen so of course I accelerated to ridiculous speeds to escape them. Then the song ended and I realised none of that actually happened and that when this is officially released, I will have crashed and died within hours because of the adrenaline rush it gives me :hehe:
:lmao:

I've just listened to it. Apart from Bane's theme, there's nothing innovative or interesting here. Catwoman's theme is nice, but it's the typical theme you'd expect for her, much like her theme in Arkham City.

They've kept the tracks from TDK, which are the only ones that remind me of Batman. Everything else is either:
a) Generic action movie music
b) Zimmer's Batman music, but watered down.

What i mean with (b): "Imagine the Fire" starts with the Begins theme (about 1:30), but it's more techno, more... meh, than the atmospheric track we originally got in Begins.

Rise is pretty nice, however it starts a bit weird. We get the skyhook theme (or music from Begins when Batman glides from GCPD at the end) and in the middle of it, it changes and becomes weird. It doesnt flow naturally, perhaps because i know that music differently from BB and TDK. The rest of Rise is fine and very emotional. I like it.

Btw, it's nice to see the stethoscope theme from Begins back.

That's actually a pretty controlled state when it comes to "Imagine The Fire".
I've been preparing my body. It's still not quite ready for TDKR, but we're getting there. Imagine the Fire was just a test... we have to be ready. :batman:

Crikey dude! Put some Joni Mitchell on or somethin'

Either it was music exclusively for the trailer (has happened for BB and TDK), or it will appear in an expanded score.

Just like with that trailer music for Inception? Damn why wasnt that in the actual movie?

Similarly, the music from TDKR's third trailer is freaking amazing and it's a pity it's not in the movie itself. We gotta track it down on youtube.

I can only "imagine" on what "Imagine the Fire" will be like when accompanying the scene where Gotham PD gets into that street fight with Bane's mercenaries while Bane and Batman have their final showdown in the same time in the midst of everything.

Sounds like another Oscar nom for Zimmer.

As far as I recall the Inception trailer music wasn't written by Zimmer. Now granted, I can't really confirm the TDKR trailer music was Zimmer, but...

Guys which song are we referring to in the trailer(s)? The MTV one or the one that debuted with the trailer before The Avengers?

Can anyone else now relate much more to how Andy Defresne felt when he escaped Shawshank having heard this soundtrack?

Kane: People who need a rip, we have not abandoned you... :sleepy:

Multiplejesuses: What does that mean...?

Nevincer: It means we're on our own.

Newbie here.....

If anyone's interested I was able to rip the soundtrack from Empire's website using Replay Media Catcher.
