As tragic as this all is, I would be surprised if it effected the box office all that much.
But no one took it out on Columbine or VT for the shootings, nor should they on a freaking film.
The problem is you have headlines saying "Batman Movie Massacre" all over the news right now. The film is getting directly tied in with it. It really is like a nuclear bomb went off.

The question is, will boycotting the movie stop the shooting in the future? If the answer is yes, then it's def worth it. That's the real question folks.
Warner Bros. insiders also claim that the tragedy in Colorado has done little to slow down ticket sales.

Apparently all TV ads are being pulled.

It's like a nuclear bomb went off against this movie.
I don't think this film will have legs. It'll fizzle out.
Oh, it's done. You can bank on that. The opening weekend will be around 170 million and then the bottom falls out just because of the tragedy that happened.
I mean, who the hell saw this coming 24 hours ago. This place was buzzing the possibilities of this film.
Now, it's done. And I'm not just talking box office. You can pretty much forget awards season with this film. Over and out.
Now it's being reported that the shooter called himself the Joker. One of those crazies.
We're in unprecedented territory now, guys. Everyone knows about this movie but in a negative context. And none of it WB's or Nolan's fault.
Yep, this film will be lucky to make 500m WW. This tragedy is getting a ton of media coverage.
Is it the shooting tragedy that is causing all this negativity or is the movie itself not that good? I haven't seen it yet so I don't know what the buzz is among you all now that it's out and I am avoiding any of the threads because I don't want to get spoiled too much (or more than I already have).
So is the film good? Is the buzz on the film itself good (apart from this tragedy)?
