Is there no one else who's disappointed with the 30million number? I guess you were all expecting the number to be in that range.

damn three d. In the end, its numbers what talk, it's numbers what people remember. No one cares about the equation behind the number, just the number, give them the number. Batman lost the battle of numbers.

What about Oscars? Does anyone still feel like this movie will win Best Pic?

I think even with the 3D boost, it had to have around $38 million to even consider being apart of the admissions record for HP7.2. The fan rush isn't that huge.

No because its the second highest midnight gross of all time without 3D and midnight showings really didn't start picking up until about 4-5 years ago. Its time to be realistic. This movie won't "beat" The Avengers but will make more than TDK. I personally enjoyed 'Rises'.

So what does that tell us?
That there's still a shot at beating the avengers number?
Seriously i dont want a movie with an iron man and a hulk, and a God coming from another galaxy and his step brother to be regarded as a bigger blockbuster than a classic batman movie.

PS those monsters which came through the gate in the sky sucked.

I was not expecting Avengers or Potter numbers for this one to be honest. I loved the movie, but it doesn't have the age range that Avengers had coupled with the fact of 3D. It's perfectly fine and this movie will look nice at the box office when it's finished by going on the merits of 2D.

You know the Ledger effect we always debate regarding TDK? This is the exact opposite.

Seriously? People aren't going to the movie because of the shooting? It is a terrible tragedy, but come on. Call me cold hearted, but people didn't stop going to school after the VT or Columbine shootings.

It's awful that it happened, but to basically boycott a movie (even temporarily) because of some psychopath doesn't make you a better person or anything.

Sorry if that offends anyone, it sounds much better than it does reading.

Actually, there were a lot of schools that shut down for a few days because of it.

But no one took it out on Columbine or VT for the shootings, nor should they on a freaking film.
