The buzz is completely worn down, here's my prediction:

385 mil Domestic

490 Foreign

Overall: less than one billion.

It's too early to predict how the legs will be. This weekend had to deal with a lot and is not reflective of how the movie would have regularly opened. We have to wait for how the weekday numbers look as well as next weekend to judge.

For it to be under 400 it almost would have to have spider-man 3's legs a movie with terrible reviews and WOM something as i've stressed before tdkr does not have.

Monday totals and next weekend will be true indicators for this movie. It got an A for cinemescore, which is lower than Avengers and TDK, but not by much. should be good for decent legs.

I think the overall multiplier will be lower than TDK, probably 3x or less, so I don't see the movie getting over 500M probably tops out at 480.

I completely agree with you. I hate it because it's not like we get this kind of quality of film every so often. Out of the top 4 domestic gross films, only Titanic and Dark Knight are memorable masterpieces IMO...

Yep. Oscar chances done. Matching Knight's box office done. They might as well release the Blu Ray within the next month.

The only way that happens is if we get consecutive weekend drops of less than 45%, I'm guessing.

Last time I heard, its $100-$130 million overseas right now but that information isn't public yet I don't think.

Exactly, if anything, we should see business pick up overall at the box office in the coming weeks. With the great WOM the film is getting, I wouldn't be worried at all, people are overreacting as usual.

That is still quite small number. Harry Potter had around 350-400 millions worldwide in 3 days. Dark Knight Rises is at 250?

Harry Potter is Harry Potter, he's not as popular as Batman overseas and also that was basically a WW release for the last Potter movie.

The GA will determine whether this film will have TDK legs or not. I'm going to say no. I can see it topping out at $475-$485 million. Which is still pretty damn good for a franchise focused on ONE supreme character.

How does that make sense? TDK grossed 158m and actually dropped 52% in it's second weekend and still grossed 533m. TDKR had grossed 161m so as long as it doesn't drop more than 50% it should still be at a higher pace than TDK.

Its more than those countries, BOM just hasn't updated with the complete breakdown for each country yet. I know for a fact it opened in the UK and Australia etc.
