Joker is just an explosive, charismatic character. He seems to be in more than he really is.
Nicholson's Joker only had 5 min more screen time than Batman, and most people acted like he had about 30 min more.
Agreed.I'm pretty much on the same boat.![]()
Agreed.
I really don't care for the technicalities, BB gave us a personalized journey with Bruce... you were right in his psyche and almost everything occuring happened through him. TDK divorced many viewers from this feeling, and I hope it returns for our sake.

There were also costumes marked "Sewer thugs" back during the England phase of the production, IIRC.

Well, you're comparing a non-Joker movie, to one with Joker in it. I think the same can be said about TDK, in that The Joker overshadowed Batman, too.And that is exactly it, technicalities, Keaton's batman may be on screen longer in b89, that still means he was pretty much secondary to Nicolson's Joker, Wheras Batman was always front and center in BB. It's always what is done with the time they are given on screen not how much time.
The funny part is in TDK the Joker overshadowed Batman with less screen time. Not that that's a bad thing, it just says something about the character and Ledger's performance.Well, you're comparing a non-Joker movie, to one with Joker in it. Perhaps, I don't know how much screen time Ledger had, as I've never recorded that, but I may one day.The funny part is in TDK the Joker overshadowed Batman with less screen time. Not that that's a bad thing, it just says something about the character and Ledger's performance.

I've honestly never took the time to record each character's screen time either, but according to this guy Joker was only on the screen for a total of 19 minutes 32 seconds. A lot loss than most people would expect.Perhaps, I don't know how much screen time Ledger had, as I've never recorded that, but I may one day.
Or do you mean Batman's screen time?![]()

Is it possible for the TDKR trailer to be attached at both The Avengers and Dark Shadows? I'm seeing both so it would be nice if the trailer is attached to both.![]()

That's the rumors I'm hearing, so I hope. I'm definitely seeing The Avengers.
It's going to be attached to Dark Shadows if it's attached to Avengers anyways. Dark Shadows is a WB film so you always expect trailers for the same studio.
I bet if I see them at any of my theatres (I go to about 5 different ones) it won't have the trailer. Freakin' UK and it's slowpoke promotion, mang.Is it possible for the TDKR trailer to be attached at both The Avengers and Dark Shadows? We're especially biased against anything Nolan.Agreed.

They promised me this would go back to being Bruce's story so, i don't care how long he wears the cowl for I just want the focus to be his again.
Ya everyone I talk to about b89 insists the Joker is In it like an hour more than batman. Just not true
That's a good point. It's more a case of the narrative of the story all revolves around the Joker, not Batman. We see the transformation from Jack Napier to Joker. We see the rise of the Joker. The Joker goes after Vicki Vale because he fancies her. The Joker is the one who killed Batman's parents.
The Joker infiltrates every facet of the movie. It's essentially the Joker's movie.

I never really liked how Bruce took a backseat to Batman and everyone else, if that makes sense.
