I'm looking at you Forever MS

I am like praying right now for this movie to get above 90%. I really hope so if it's below TDK but above 90 I'll be fine.
Please don't make fun of me like you've been doing or I'm going to leave for a while. THis movie is very important for me and if it doesn't succeed I will be extremely upset.

Guess you didn't enjoy Batman Begins?

I wouldn't worry about the negative reviews, guys. The fans who've seen the movie love it. Most of the critics love it. We've known for a long time this movie would be great. Some people are simply not going to enjoy the movie. I don't put any stock in the Academy Awards, but even the best picture winners or nominees can sometimes be movies that had 15%-20% negative reviews. Few films are truly loved by nearly all who see them.

I think TDKR will finish above 90%. Not that it matters for my enjoyment, but it's a nice number. :)

Guys, here in Mexico there's a complete mess to get tickets for the premiere, anyone knows if it was the same in the United States?

I'm not making fun of you. I'm telling you to get a grip and stop getting wrapped up in the opinions of other people.

Seriously. Judge the film for yourself. Honestly, it's sad that you're letting the opinions of strangers (people you will never meet) affect your anticipation.

My God, one minute in another tab, someone posted spoilers and it was removed. That was fast, good I didn't read.

Dude, it is succeeding. Chill out.

lol yeah. I knew I should have just went dark for the rest of this week, oh well. The upside is what I read sounded crazy awesome though.

I think I saw the ending but I'm not sure. Haha. I'm poed but oh well.

Has Ebert said anything after the screening today?

I was sadden to see that TASM didn't get as many "Fresh" reviews as I expected, but I came out of the movie quiet impressed. I really liked it despite it's "low" 74. I encourage you all to do the same. It's even with BB at the moment, a lot of us here (including me) love BB, most of us would rate it higher than an 85. So relax everyone. And we are just over 50 reviews. For all we know, the next 100 could be "Fresh". Just wait!

Hmm. I barely skimmed that "review". Guy's still a piece o' crap.

All this RT make me remember that the number doesn't means that much. The Prestige, for example, is 76% on Rotten. I really think the movie deserves more. Grades, stars and others things aren't the best way to express something so personal like the experience to see a movie. There are so many things could influence that, and it changes with every person.

The Prestige is a better film than TDK (or BB for that matter), and probably better than TDKR as well (still need to see TDKR before judging). So yeah, it's not like RT is perfect at judging the quality of films. Matter of fact, history is littered with films that weren't universally acclaimed at first but became more appreciated over time.

What's interesting to me about TDKR is the constant, I meant constant references to Ledger's Joker. Not even in the movie and still having an impact on this movie. I have to see it myself, but I'm not convinced it's getting an entirely fair shake if people are comparing it to TDK and wanting another Heath Joker. The Batman fans who have seen it seem to be gushing a lot of praise for the fact that it ties back in so well with BB. Critics might not give a damn about that aspect of it, but I sure do.

What if it's an 89%? Will the Mayan Prophecy be fulfilled?

I did but lots of critics dont. I made a thread that said I was worried This Batman trilogy wouldn't be considered perfect because of BB. Looks like I won't have to worry because TDKR won't be as good as TDK either...

San Jose Mercury. Another positive review. :woot:

But even those flaws don't keep Nolan's "Dark Knight Rises" from being a superb bit of work from a truly visionary filmmaker and a marvelous final installment on a grand retelling of the Batman saga. As a cop tells a younger partner when Batman first reappears, "Boy, you're in for a show tonight, son." And, indeed, it's been quite a show.

Really? hmmm, I'm not sure whether to be relieved or sad. What I read sounded awesome, but if it's not true then I'm not spoiled.
