It's going up...and yes, none of those marks are bad. Man, everyone in here is like some strict parent that yells at their kids for getting B's instead of A's.

Why does anyone give a flying **** about reviews? Judge a movie for yourself and to Hell with uppity film critics. Good review, bad review, doesn't matter. There have been movie's with great reviews I hate and movies with bad reviews I love so a critics worth on this planet is fairly negligible.

I think some people do because it becomes a $14 movie or a wait till rebox movie of $1, I know I don't just jump to all movies that come out, I do check and if RT says its under 40% I wait till redbox.

Everybody is loosing their minds on every forum I go to, it's good to know a few others are still sane and understand that 6 reviews out of 43 is not a bad thing.

After reading about half of the reviews, I'm surprised to hear that Bane is supposedly the weakest character of the cast. Is that strictly due to the juxtaposition with the Joker?

I think so. Pretty much every review so far that does criticize Bane, has done so by comparing him to the Joker which is honestly an unfair comparison. They are different characters, and thus there is no reason to compare. While the Joker is charismatic and personable, Bane is distant and cold, and honestly there is nothing wrong with that.

But to be honest with you I've seen more reviews bragging about Bane, than I've seen criticizing him so I wouldn't worry to much about the negative ones.

We also gotta remember that there are only 40 reviews. By Thursday night there will likely be over 150. It could be well into 90s or 70s by then. We cant predict the outcome.

I doubt it. I think it may in part be due to the mask, in part to the high opinion most have of Hardy as an actor, and due to the relatively straightforward nature of the Bane character.

It gives me pause. I really want Bane to exceed Joker in menace and magnetism. He's also kind of a weird mix of hulking brute and speechifying evil genius, which is I think fantastic, but could be tricky to balance without one side overshadowing or confusing the other.

No, they don't. If they do it is only because you allow them to, which is more your problem than that of a critic

The weirdest thing is, though, how much people are defending a movie they havent seen yet. Yes, yes; good wom, yes, good reviews, liking the authors, precedent, all right... its logical to be hopefull, but youy might still get disapointed.

I just feel a bit weird with people defending SO MUCH something they only hope they will love...

No, they dont. If you have that problem, dont excuse yourself with "everybody is weak like me". And i dont consider be affected by reviews a weakness or a problem, but you get my point.

My favorite movie of the year was Seeking a friend for the end of the world. That only has like a 51 on RT. It's all nice to read, but at the end of the day, all that matters is if you like it.
