86% on RT with an 8.7 average. This movie really is quite polarizing it seems.

Apparently it is according to Miranda Fox.

I said I thought he was coming off as trollish. Not that anyone who had that opinion was a troll.

And you guys don't get to play this **** on me. You all accused me of being a troll when I dared (DARED) to point out that it was really nasty to hate on a woman over her looks.

I think anyone who uses the lack of Ledger or Joker as a negative point really needs to move on.

Oh jesus, another "I'm a girl, so I know what I'm talking about" post....

38 fresh 6 rotten? in two days...that's far from polarizing in my book. :funny:

Am I seeing Gollum being discussed again?

Consensus...
The Dark Knight Rises is an ambitious, thoughtful, and potent action film that concludes Christopher Nolan's franchise in spectacular fashion, even if it fails to meet the high standard set by its predecessor.

Im reading an article on RT called " Channing Tatums 10 best movies" :woot:

Let's nip this in the bud right now. This is a suggestion to anyone getting emotional or actually letting a couple of early reviews online get their panties in a twist: If you can't handle negative reviews and objectively look at both sides of the coin, then maybe you should stay off the boards until you see the film for yourself.

Hmm, the RT consensus summary says it doesn't match TDK.

I mean that it has an 86% (not extremely high), yet as of now it has an average of a 8.7/10. (which is higher than TDK, BB, Avengers) So it seems that those who like it, really like it.

Just because Faraci isn't a big fan doesn't mean he doesn't understand why or how the character works.

I'd argue that's what most of the B.A.D. Reviews focus on in general. Character is the key thing they often talk about. See their Film Crit Hulk for example.

The negative reviews aren't particularly negative either.

Am i the only one who thinks it a little premature to say that the consensus states that TDKR fails to even meet the benchmark that TDK set?

Thank God. Some rationale!
