I said I thought he was coming off as trollish. Not that anyone who had that opinion was a troll.

And you guys don't get to play this **** on me. You all accused me of being a troll when I dared (DARED) to point out that it was really nasty to hate on a woman over her looks.

For what it's worth, we were totally on the same side in all that gross Maggie-bashing. :)

Am i the only one who thinks it a little premature to say that the consensus states that TDKR fails to even meet the benchmark that TDK set?

I agree, especially when there are still so many people that are saying that it does.

The blogger community will be seeing this in LA tonight. Do any of them report to RT?

The consensus comment is pretty premature.

Agreed. I was really hoping the comment wouldn't put something like "not as good as its predecessor."

But then again, I'm not that surprised. That seems to be the theme with this movie. Everybody comparing it to TDk

The Dark Knight Rises is an ambitious, thoughtful, and potent action film that concludes Christopher Nolan's franchise in spectacular fashion, even if it fails to meet the high standard set by its predecessor.

but many reviewers say it exceeds or is on par with TDK

Post-trolling....

I liked THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. So go look at the Rotten Tomatoes score and mentally add 1, I guess?

Fair enough.

FWIW, I have serious troll fatigue. One way they tend to operate is to just.never.shut.up about something.

So, I'm sorry for thinking you were one of them.

It seems like they're going by 86 percent versus 94 percent, which is silly. TDKR's number will change. There are 200+ reviews yet to be posted.

RT Consensus!

The Dark Knight Rises is an ambitious, thoughtful, and potent action film that concludes Christopher Nolan's franchise in spectacular fashion, even if it doesn't quite meet the high standard set by its predecessor.

Who's "you all"?

You know what's weird? I made a bold prediction a while ago that The Hunger Games would get a better RT score than TDKR. I don't necessarily want that to happen, but it looks like it actually could, which I did NOT expect. Granted, it's still early. I think TDKR will end up around the 87%-92% range.

Have RT consensus' changed in the past? It seems awfully early to put something like that up.

You did this!!! You are to blame!! :cmad:

The first part is great, but why the comparison to TDK? why not jsut a consensus on it's own merits as a movie?
