Amazon Prime? I didn't know such a thing existed.

At least your copy was actually sent out. I'm still waiting for that confirmation email, letting me know it's on route.

You know what's funny? Best Buy had it for the same price as Amazon. I only ordered from Amazon because my Best Buy doesn't really sell new CDs anymore.

Go figure.

Everyone's saying how "Oh you should see the movie yourself before making a decision and not listen to critics" but if the movie was being universally praised nobody would say that.

I JUST CAN"T BELIEVE I waited this long for a movie that won't be loved!!

The bad reviews just keep coming in...I'm like seriously depressed right now. I waited so long for this movie and the fact it's not living up to expectations..I hate life right now.

You make it seem like the RT score is like 12%.

On a lighter, non review note.... I can't wait for my Dark Knight Trilogy book to come in :D

Doesn't change the fact that it's ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things. TDK getting a 94% wouldn't really mean a damn to me if I hated that movie, would it?

Again, decide for yourself. In fact, stop going to RottenTomatoes until you've seen the film. You're getting worked up over nothing.

Hilarious, an average of 8.7/10 so far makes a bad film these days I guess.....TDK finished at 8.4 by the way.

This will come close to the 94 that TDK received, and if it does, what an accomplishment for Nolan to get even CLOSE to the praise TDK did....especially with Ledger.

I don't know about getting back to 94 or even the 90's but it should stay above 85 and probably finish with a strong 87 or 88 imo.

But... it is being universally praised!

lol! Yeah, that's a much bigger problem than RT scores.

How many movies do you love that everyone loves? I'm betting on none.

Almost all the negative reviews are saying it's no The Dark Knight, aren't these guys paid to realize they are two separate movies, just because you go in with expectations too high doesn't make it a bad film it means you are being unrealistic and not judging it for what it is.

I understand its a trilogy but people are judging this as if it should be better than The Dark Knight as opposed to is it a good film or not...

Uh, Inception has 86% on there and is loved. The first Pirates of the Caribbean has 79% and is loved. Batman Begins has 85% on there and is loved. Drop the hyperbole mate.

If you love it thats all that matters. I dont understand why people need others to love the movie so that they can justify their love for it.

Hahahaahahaha wtf. This is entertaining I'll say that much. I wonder what will happen if 30 straight positive review come in.. Then what? Guess what, either way, in the end what you like or don't like when you finally walk into that theatre can't be measured on a damn tomato meter. There are films that are sure fire Oscar winners that I can't sit through.. Plus, in the end, it's gonna be the gen audience who decides this films place in history for the most part.

Not really.

Like I said Batman Begins is my favorite Batman movie and that has a lower rating on RT than TDK. So if TDKR had a higher rating than TDK at the moment I wouldn't be inclined to think that I would necessarily like it more than Begins or TDK for that matter.

You're just trying to justify your over reactive panicking right now.

If the movie was universally praised you wouldn't have to say that because people wouldn't be talked out of seeing the movie. In that scenario the judge for yourself saying is implied.

Seriously. The amount of stock people put in reviews is ridiculous sometimes.

When all is said and done, this film will probably clock in with about 250 reviews. Two hundred and fifty opinions out of the millions of people who are going to see this movie. To say the critics represent a vocal minority is an understatement - regardless of whether or not the film receives universal praise.

So please, can people just calm down a bit? It's hardly the end of the world just because we're looking at probably 20-30 negative reviews in the end.

So much truth spoken here.

Also that's about what I'm expecting as well.

Another positive review added.

Back up to 85% :lmao:

You're serious aren't you?

20 - 22 bad reviews worst case... 15-17 best case IMO

I think it's ridiculous that all of the reviews haven't even come in yet, and Rotten Tomatoes has already summarized the film with:

"The Dark Knight Rises is an ambitious, thoughtful, and potent action film that concludes Christopher Nolan's franchise in spectacular fashion, even if it doesn't quite meet the high standard set by its predecessor."

Kinda sucks that this movie's getting so trashed. Anyone want to buy my midnight IMAX tickets? I'll give you a good deal.

I find it awesome that TDKR is going to be the BEST WORST reviewed movie of all time. :hehe:
