Donald Trump reviewed TDKR :lmao:

Um because early reviews are a good indication of what to expect? It's not like all 200 of the rest of reveiews will be positive.

So the 45 reviews that says it's great means it'll be great as opposed to the 8 negative reviews.

Thanks for posting that lovely kv  Marion and Anne - aaawwww :hrt::hrt:

You guys stop talking about reviews and just appreciate this:

But those revi....

*stares*

I liked Batman Begins, but I certainly didn't love it, and don't care to ever see it again. TDK, on the other hand, I really admire. To see so many people who've seen it essentially acknowledge TDKR to be "very good" but not on the heights of TDK is disappointing. I didn't expect Nolan to bother making a third film without a story even more engaging than TDK's. When your greatest asset (Ledger) is dead, you have to make sure the sequel's narrative is tighter than No Country For Old Men's anus.

It varies. There are plenty of critics calling TDKR not only the best of the trilogy but the best film of 2012 and/or greatest CBM of all time. I'd watch the film before proclaiming anything disappointing.

Ledger was Nolan's most illustrious asset? Jeez, thanks for insulting Bale, Hardy, Oldman, Eckhart, Freeman, Jackman, Neeson, Cotillard, Hathaway, Caine, JGL, Hall, Pierce, DiCaprio, etc.

Another positive

Yeah, it was fairly negative. I skimmed it so as not to spoil anything, but I got the vibe that he felt that some of it worked but it was too ambitious with its "real-world parallels".

And, yeah, I'm pretty sure he loved The Dark Knight, so that was surprising.

I see your point. But TDKR is certified fresh so you need to calm down bro :yay:

Now that's bad. He gave TDK 4 didn't he? Can't remember how he rated BB.

He rated Warrior 2.5/4 and it was Fresh, Drive had the same rating was was Rotten. So it depends on what's written in the review itself.

I read the whole review and it actually seemed more like a 3/4 than a 2.5/4. When I clicked on it I was expecting way more negativity.

The review is positive. He definitely didn't hate the film. But the drop from a 4/4 for TDK is pretty bad. The early part of the review briefly praised BB as well, though I'm not sure what he rated it (maybe 3/4?).

QFT.

It's weird, I guess this is going to be a polarizing film after all.

Please just leave.

But it#s not perfect! And not loved by everyone! Numbers are my life and the only way I can feel secure in my opinions!

Chicago critic, Michael Phillips, gives it a 2.5 stars.

Stopped reading after:

But nothing in the new film, which turns Gotham over to the masked terrorist Bane, played by an occasionally intelligible Tom Hardy, meets or exceeds the crises of “The Dark Knight,” especially that picture's ferry-boat sequence

James Berardinelli is one of the few I read often. His review seems the most balanced (TDKR).

Like I said, I just skimmed it. That's a little encouraging, but it's still a negative score.

I honestly have a feeling Ebert isn't going to give it as positive of a review as we hope, if not a positive review at all. I don't know why exactly, but I certainly hope I'm proven wrong.

Are you mocking me? Seriously i thought the boards were more mature than this. This movie is really important to me that's why I'm freaking out

Yeah, I read some of the review. It sounds like a 3/4 to me as well but I suppose it'll be up to him whether he'll rate it positive or negative.
